North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology conducts NERSIT  (NEE) every year to select students for admission into undergraduate Engineering certificate, Diploma and Degree Courses. Every year thousands of students from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura attempt the entrance exam.

The exam is conducted is conducted in various branches of Engineering & Technology such as Civil Engineering , Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering ,Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Forestry stream through different modules namely NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III. These three modules are called as certificate, diploma and degree. NEE-I and NEE-II are certificate and diploma level courses, it aims on imparting practical aspects of engineering and on the other hand NEE-III is the degree level course focuses on theoretical aspect which emphasizes on management and entrepreneurship skills.

NEE-II & NEE-III exam will be conducted on 25th April, 2015 where as NEE-I will be conducted on 26th April, 2015 and all the aspirants who will have appeared in the NERSIT 2015 will get their result on Sunday, May 18, 2015.
