Delhi University has issued data stating that over 25,000 students who have obtained 90% to 100% marks in the class 12th board exams have applied for the DU SOL Admissions.
The Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL) started its admission process on October 22. Of the total number of applicants for DU SOL Admissions, around 429 students have secured between 95% and 100% marks with the highest number of admission seekers for the BCom (Honours) program.
According to the DU SOL data, around 1.3 lakh applications were received, of which, 65,000 students sought the DU SOL admission by paying fees. Candidates must note that the last date to submit the applications is on or before December 15, 2021.
While the number of students who have applied for DU SOL Admissions 2021, having 90 per cent to 100 per cent marks is high, only a few who have applied for admissions have scored above 60 per cent marks.
The SOL data represents that the number of candidates who have acquired 90% or above marks in their class 12th exams is 305 for Political Science (Honours), 142 for BA (Honours) English, 618 for BA programme, 567 for B.Com and 954 for BCom (Honours).
Currently, only 19 students who have obtained above 95%marks in their board 12 exams have applied for admission to BA (Honours) English, 56 for BA programme, 135 for BCom, 41 for Political Science (Honours), and 178 for BCom (Honours).
The top score recorded was 97.2% marks in BA (Honours) English, 99% in BCom, 98.4% in Political Science (Honours), 98.2% in BA programme, and 99.2% in BCom (Honours).
DU SOL UG Courses & Eligibility
Talking about the SOL Admissions 2021, Uma Shankar Pandey, Officiating Principal, SOL, said that the school of open learning (SOL) offers choice-based credit systems like regular classes. However, the students are also given a chance to move from SOL to regular college or vice versa.
Further, a new chatbot has been introduced by the DU SOL to conduct the admission process in a smooth manner and to answer the students' queries during office hours.
