New Delhi: Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has begun the application process for its PhD programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @dseu.ac.in. 

DSEU offers PhD programmes in various specialisations including Computer Science and Engineering /Applications, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme can submit their applications till September 19, 2022.

DSEU PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admissions into the PhD programme will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. 

  • Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree, or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with not less than 55% of marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
  • If an applicant does not satisfy point 1, however, having a four years bachelor’s degree should have a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent percentage shall be eligible to apply for the Ph.D. admissions.
  • Candidates should have demonstrated exceptional interest in research which shall include prior publications, conference presentations, or other academic work.
  • Candidates who have qualified the M.Phil. course work with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent CGPA, shall be eligible to apply for the Ph.D. admission.
  • SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/EWS/PwBD/ Defence Personal (DP) candidates shall be given 5% marks relaxation in the minimum educational qualifications. 

DSEU PhD Admission 2022: Selection Process

  • The complete selection process would comprise of entrance test, past academics, and the interview. 
  • Every candidate must submit a brief about her/his research area/interest along with the admission form and are required to give a presentation on the same before the interview committee.

DSEU PhD Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of DSEU @dseu.ac.in.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 500 and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.

DSEU PhD Admission 2022: DPRAT 

Candidates intending to pursue the PhD programme offered by DSEU will have to sit for the Doctoral Program Research Aptitude Test (DPRAT) test, which shall be of qualifying nature only, with qualifying marks as 50%. 

The Syllabus for DPRAT will consist of 50% questions on Research Aptitude/Methodology and 50% subject-specific questions. Refer to the Information Bulletin for a detailed syllabus.

Regular faculty members of DSEU or faculty on deemed deputation in DSEU and candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET/JRF examination or valid GATE score (with qualifying marks) in the relevant area of research will be exempted from taking the entrance test.
