Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia Opens Center of Excellence for AI at NSUT


New Delhi: Deputy CM Sisodia inaugurated a Center of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) on July 06, 2022. This center is established to offer free access to online data and tools to students and teachers of the university

As per NSUT, the Center of Excellence for AI includes latest technologies such as state of art supercomputing systems with DGX A100 with 324 GB RAM and eight graphical processing units, and 10 high-end workstations with independent graphical processing units. 

Referring to the highlights of NSUT's Center of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence, KPS Rana, Dean and Faculty of FICT) NSUT said, “It can be accessed online simultaneously. With this, we have also introduced special courses or industry partners".

Adding to the statement, Deputy CM said, "Having a Center of Excellence for AI is a matter of pride for universities. It reflects the high-end thinking of young minds running the university. If the university thinks and innovates ahead of time, the nation will be ahead too".

Teachers and students of the university can access the online tools and data online free of cost. The center also includes a total of 30 terminals that cater to the needs of users. These facilities offered by Netaji Subhas University of Technology can be used by 40 users.

He further added that students of the university have secured high placement packages at some of the top companies in India and abroad such as Google and Amazon. This achievement of students shows that they have the potential to take the country to greater heights.

While interacting with NSUT faculty, he said, "To make our way to international rankings, teachers and students need to change their habits and mindsets and think out of the box. They must move away from conventional ideas to be able to take the country on a path of progress".
