The Delhi Government has issued the procedure guidelines for executing the practical exams, internal assignments, and projects for Class 10 and 12.
The government has announced clearly that any student having symptoms of Covid-19 will not be allowed to appear for the exams into school premises.
Further, the officials mentioned that there are high chances of pre-boards for class 10 beginning from April 1-15, and for Class 12 from March 20- April 15, 2021.
The UT govt. has allowed reopening classes 10 and 12 from January 18 to improve the preparation for the forthcoming CBSE board examinations 2021.
Moreover, the government has also stated that students are only allowed to attend offline classes with consent from their parents or guardians.
The intention of starting physical lessons for Classes 10 and 12 is to improve preparation for the approaching CBSE board practicals from March 1.
Delhi government has issued specific Covid-19 safety requirements and protocols for internal assignments, practical exams, pre-boards, and project work.
Merely 12-15 students will be allowed in the laboratories. The school principal will schedule the dates for practical classes to secure social distance inside the labs while practicing. This timetable will be certified by the Directorate of Education Government of NCT, Delhi.
The Govt has suggested that the same student groups must be formed for lab sessions and other project work to minimize contact with other students. Hand sanitization, before entering all the labs in schools will be mandatory.
The Delhi schools will be instructed to collect the marks of internal assessment before the commencement of the CBSE board exam 2021.
Class 10th students' projects and assignments are given as winter holiday homework. The projects and assignments will be marked in the internal assessment and the worksheets will hold five marks.
Only the schools out of the containment zones will be allowed to reopen for CBSE practicals. They will have to submit a report of COVID19 preparation to the Directorate of Education Government and seek its permission to reopen.
This year CBSE 10th and 12th exams are scheduled to commence from May 4 to June 10. The detailed schedule will be released soon.
