CBSE Board Exam 2021-22: Class 12 Maths, Applied Maths Answer Key (Released) by Experts; Details Here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded the Class 12 Maths Term-1 2021 paper and Applied Maths paper today, on December 6, 2021.

The CBSE Class 12 Term-1 Exams for both maths and applied maths was conducted across the various examination centres today. Students who appeared for the exam shared their experiences, saying that the maths question paper was lengthy and moderately difficult.

The CBSE experts have released the Class 12 Maths Answer Key for both Mathematics and Applied Mathematics subjects. The answer key has been prepared based on the sets of question papers.

CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam 2021: Question Paper Review & Student Reactions

Students who sat for the CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam 2021 said that the maths paper was quite challenging for them.

One of the students said that 50% of the total questions were comparatively easy but rest were difficult and even choices were not of much help.

Another student said that the paper contained a lot of lengthy calculations. The matrices questions took a lot of time to complete and the difficult questions were tricky enough to answer.

One of the students said that the maths paper was a bit complicated and Section-C was the toughest. While the paper was lengthy, Question 42, Set 4 consisted of symbols that were not at all present in the NCERT textbooks.

Further, Section A was the easiest, while Section B was tricky. The question paper contained few ambiguous questions and the paper was moderately hard, the student said.

CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam 2021: Teacher's Analysis

One of the teachers was very happy with the questions asked in the maths paper, who said that the paper was balanced with a level of difficulty to distinguish between students.

Although it's not very challenging for the students to solve the easy questions, it's tough to crack the trickier questions. An average student might score between 25 and 32 marks but getting above 32 marks may require conceptual understanding, the teacher said.

Another teacher analyzed the maths paper and said that Section A tested the knowledge and understanding of the students, where a few questions were based on calculations. While Section B was tricky and it required in-depth understanding of the concepts to answer the questions, which consumed a lot of time.

Furthermore, Section C assessed the students' application skills, which might seem difficult for an average student as all the questions demanded extensive calculations and allotted time was not sufficient to solve.

Coming back to question 42, the notion was not present in the NCERT Textbook due to which students didn't get an idea about the question. However, the question paper was overall tricky, difficult, and time consuming, the teacher concluded.
