What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Making the students ready for a bright future”

An educational institution is a sacred place where we gain knowledge, skill, and build up our character. The best thing about the education sector is being able to build the future of tomorrow by educating the youth. Educational institutions are the factories to produce scholars who will contribute their best to the development of the nation. Interacting with new minds has kept me close to this sector.

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Ensuring transparency in decision making”

A governing body and advisory board comprising reputed academicians, media experts, and exponents of corporate and social sectors have been managing daily affairs of the institute. The decision of the management stands final and decisions taken in the management relating to academic activities are transparent to the public. We follow both the instructional and administrative leadership style here for our institute. We supervise regular classes and instructions to teachers to develop the strategy of the teacher as per the students’ interests and attractions. Also, the focus lies on administrative tasks, enforcing rules and procedures, and accountability.

“Facilities to keep at par with the educational standards”

Our strength is our experienced, highly qualified, and student-friendly faculties. Except for faculties we have well-equipped classrooms with modern teaching aids like the audio-visual systems etc. Our library is well-stocked and updated with relevant study materials. We have other amenities like a well-furnished computer lab with the latest software including internet facility, career development and guidance programs for students, hostel accommodation, workshops, seminars that keep the student interested and gives them maximum exposure.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for INSTITUTE OF MEDIA STUDIES specifically?

“To get students to enroll in institutions”

Nowadays, filling up seats in colleges is the biggest challenge for the management. Many educational institutions both private as well as the government have very low strengths of students. This happens due to the mushrooming of private educational institutes. It also partially depends upon the quality of education and the institution's environment.
