What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“People, process and possibilities”

Education is the essence of life; it is a torch bearer in the modern-day world. Most professions in life are only career builders but education is the divine responsibility given only to the few chosen ones. From the start itself, I wanted to work for the growth of the Nation and its youth, and I found no better tool other than education to achieve this. I am so attached to this field as it helps me engage my learning and experiences with the new potential minds that hold aspirations to reach every realm and some even searching infinity and beyond. Being an educationist helped me give my best service to society. A blend of education along with value education upbringings is what society requires in this ever-changing world.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“A wolf is only as strong as its pack”

Most people believe that leadership is a one man show, but the fact is entirely different. I feel a set of good people pooled together can-do wonders. My philosophy of leadership has always been about sharing common objectives, values and goals. As a leader, I have always played the role of guide which helps me to look into my team strength and their lacunas. My personal perception is that every team member should be motivated on different levels as every individual is different and so are their competencies. I always believe that my Institution is like one big family on a quest to reach our objectives together. Leadership is not about an individual, it's always about a group of people holding themselves together as a cohesive force on a journey to success one after another.

How do you strategize the key plans for the marketing of your institution?

“Acquiring marketing automation and digital base”

Marketing shouldn’t just be executing the same strategy year after year, but actively coordinating with the rest of the marketing team to plan and execute a new marketing approach that fits the group’s goals as a whole. We have imbibed video marketing to enhance engagement between the teachers and the students. Personal counselling is given as and when required. Also, targeting the youth by creating a personalized, mobile-friendly website, and using social media platforms to enhance our digital friendly base is the modern strategy of the 21st century. The use of live streams such as Facebook Live, Instagram Stories, Video Chat for Snapchat, and Periscope for Twitter are the effective sources we use for marketing.

How does the curriculum of GGES ensure the best practice of industry?

“Knowledge based learning activities and environment”

GGES group runs on the summation of curriculum and extra-curricular dimensions for students. Curriculum for us, not only means syllabus for a semester or a year, it’s the working on 360-degree development of our students. Our main focus is not only what students learn in our institutions, but most importantly to groom the way they can apply their knowledge and skills in the real world. We work on practical training sessions, seminars and workshops as tools to inculcate the feeling of doing things in a well defined manner. How is GGES more welcoming to students of different economic backgrounds?

“Treating everyone one and same”

Education is not a privilege to some, but the right of every individual. At GGES, we believe in the concept of educational inclusion where everyone is welcomed with no segmentation of colors, caste, creed or religion background which sometimes act as barriers in professional studies. I have always thought as an academician that it is our moral compass that guides us to do certain things for the uplifting and the betterment of the people living in the society. We have special reserved seats for students from economically weaker sections. I have a separate team which works on the issues to bring all the students at par no matter which racial and economic background they come from. There are regular counseling sessions which develop confidence and morale among the students from various races and economic backgrounds. There are various facilities provided by the management at subsidized rates so that students even from weak economic backgrounds may avail the opportunity. Time to time various scholarship tests are being conducted which definitely benefit the students’ development.

What are your responsibilities as the Executive Director of GGES?

“Maintaining academic integrity”

My role is like a bridge and an interface between the students and the university. We have approval and affiliations from different Apex bodies like AICTE, Pharmacy Council of India, Universities, Board of Technical Education etc. at our GGES Group for different courses under one educational umbrella. It is very important to follow the protocols and

process of this university, and hence it is my responsibility that process is followed and protocols are honored. I always take initiative to provide the latest update related to the curriculum which enables students to be proactive. On a regular basis, I liaise with several State Government bodies, Central Government bodies, Universities, Boards etc. for all the related issues in smooth functioning of the Institutes and schools run by the group.

What do you think should be the GGES’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Helping student’s edge out competition and be a winner”

With so many universities in PAN India, the number of professional graduates and post graduates has increased exponentially in the last decade, thus elevating the competition scale to very high levels. So in the coming years, GGES Education Group will focus more on training the students on practical problems, various workshops will be arranged for the students where experienced professionals will share their experiences with students which will help them to grow professionally. Placement initiatives will be another important area of focus along with personality development of students as other important aspects. Times will change unexpectedly in the next decade hence we must be prepared to get accustomed to the changes.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship within your organization?

“Inculcating a conducive work environment”

An Institution is just like a family with professional commitments. An institute is like a big cookie you make with many ingredients and all of them carry their own aroma and flavor. The environment of our institute is like a free economy place where everyone has authority and responsibility. We work with each other to hold the core values intact even in the odd times. We share success, discuss failures together and keep moving from one level to another. The best success for any organisation is when people enjoy their jobs rather than just working, without any zeal.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the students are?

“Aiding full potential development of students”

As an academic administrator, I always identify success and needs of the student population which has to be implemented and monitored for academic and literacy programs toward achieving goals. I design and implement student behavioral modification programs to reduce truancy, attitude and interactions with teachers and peer students. I believe in the successful development and maintenance of an ambience of openness, confidentiality, among all stakeholders: students, guardians and teachers. My sole duty is to work with the executive team to choose productive strategies for student academic improvement based on assessment data screens, interviews and recommend instructional and non-instructional personnel for employment.

How do you ensure students are being prepared for the future?

“Continuous evaluation and engagement of students practically”

I, on a continuous basis, observe new and latest teaching methodologies, and examine learning materials to evaluate and standardize current curricula and teaching techniques. In this way, I try to determine areas where improvement is required. I constantly motivate my young and energetic teaching fraternity to engage themselves in research programs and undertake major and minor projects funded by UGC, AICTE and other funding agencies like DST, ICMR and Technical Universities of State or Central Government.
