What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
“Unsurpassed newness and energy education sector offers”
The key factor that has kept me glued to the education sector is the novelty it offers on a daily basis. The challenges and opportunities it extends has helped me evolve as a good mentor and a human. Being in a youth centric area, one is always in touch with vibrant energy. I feel education is the most effective tool in the process of human transformation and the satisfaction one receives as part of the process is unmatched.
What is your philosophy of leadership?
“Situational approaches requiring participative management”
Leadership is a lifetime affair. It is a choice one takes upon him/herself which keeps one connected with the core of being, i.e. humane - vulnerable yet powerful. One cannot exercise a particular style which suits all the time. It depends upon the situation consisting of various variables - nature of the task; people in the team in a particular task; external conditions. I choose mentoring and participation as my style to lead such a big organization.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your college?
“Addressing and tackling issues with convenient communication”
I intend to encourage common dialogue, better communication and interaction, appreciate and acknowledge every single endeavour by the team members done towards the association. At the same time, addressing their concerns and responding to the shortfalls with perseverance and good spirit is what that is needed to sustain a healthy atmosphere and support system. Grievance Redressal, Tele-Counselling has proved fruitful in maintaining a healthy environment for all.
How did you cope with the changes brought about by COVID 19 pandemic?
“Connecting and communicating in a well defined manner”
The recent pandemic has taught us many things; the biggest of these is to be absolutely sure and always prepared to meet the uncertainties of life. Reliance upon digital platforms for work and teaching throughout the year has made us realise the need for human connection even more. I have been in constant touch with my team and through them with the students. We have established systems and laid down procedures to seek inputs from all stakeholders to redefine our communication and make the teaching learning system more effective.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the youths?
“Self analysis is important to achieve your goals”
The youth has immense potential and great possibilities. They are ambitious but lack clarity. In order to make right choices, they need to analyse themselves in a more wise manner regardless of any influence from other’s life or social media layouts. They must become self-aware to develop a clear vision of their worth and only then the journey to self-reliance can begin.
