What is your philosophy of leadership?

“More of a team membership style than a leadership style, allowing growth of people working alongside me”

I always believed in one philosophy, that is, great leaders don't tell you what to do. They show you how it's done. So, I believe my students can see how we are doing it. Hence, we always motivate them to follow in the same manner.

How do you plan for the marketing and administration of your school?

“Implementation of digital techniques and praise from our students facilitate our marketing efforts”

We believe in one kind of marketing, that is, positive word of mouth. Because if we provide good service, then people are bound to talk about you. But since there is a basic requirement, we always go for the digital mode of marketing. The most promising promotional thing that we believe in, is word of mouth.

How does the curriculum of CANDID ensure the best practice of industry?

“Being part of this industry since 18 years, we have excelled at providing the best education to or students”

We are the largest Event Management and PR company in Eastern India. Undoubtedly, our educational operations also reflect our grand scale. As an institute that has been functioning since over a decade, we know how things need to be done in the PR and event industry. We practise what we preach, hence it is very much easier for us to impart the industry practises in the curriculum.

What do you see as your institute's greatest strengths?

Our greatest strengths are our curriculum, faculties and placement records”

Being able to provide great opportunities to our students is our biggest strength. Additionally, our syllabus is revised every year, as per the industry needs. We recruit people from industry who have both theory and practical knowledge, as faculty. So that provides a huge learning opportunity to the students. Since we are connected with the Event and PR industry broadly, we get several. The placement records has always been 90% at our institute.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“A rigid educational system that doesn't allow overall creative growth of an individual”

The biggest challenge, I think, is the education pattern or the style that focuses more on marks and less on skills acquired. The education provided must be flexible enough to facilitate a 360 degree growth. There should also be a sufficient amount of focus on developing the soft skills of students to help them in their career ahead.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“To have fixed goals since a young age and then working hard to achieve them”

Yes. I would give them the suggestion of being focused in all their educational and career-oriented endeavors. I have seen as per the recent trends, this generation of students are very fickle minded. They must work towards achieving better decision making.

What are some plans that you're currently designing for CANDID University international affairs?

“Increase in the number of global collaborations for students benefit”

As a prestigious institute, we have worked with many global organisations. In addition to this, we also have an office setup in the UK. Hence, we know how the education system works there. We try our best to give our students global exposure.
