What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Leading as a facilitator and focusing on solutions”

A leadership philosophy needs to be personal and unique. This is because it needs to be authentic. If you try to lead-based on someone else’s philosophy, you’ll be less effective. A leadership philosophy is essentially a belief system that guides your decision-making. It consists of your core principles, perspectives, and values. Leadership philosophies are intensely personal and specific to your conditions and circumstances. Your leadership philosophy must authentically reflect your actual values and the situations of different employees.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your college?

“Not deviating from the goals and the plans formulated”

Marketing plans are the roadmap to success for your college, keeping you on track with your initiatives throughout the year and, ideally, the next several years. It’s easy to get sidetracked when great ideas pop up, but like on a road trip you’ll never reach your destination if you keep adding new stops along the way. The key steps to a successful strategy involve:

  • Identifying Goals
  • Prioritizing the goals
  • Assessing needs and the required resources
  • Brainstorming and refining Ideas to build a strategy

“Bringing out the finest aspects of the education system in the country”

Education is organic, it keeps growing and evolves with time and the human mind. This is the major reason why the education provided in different nations of the world is different. The principles on which education systems are formed are different for every nation. However, the aim is similar, to inculcate creativity within the human mind. Every education system has its pros and cons. As a developing nation, the Indian education system has been developed on the pillars that support thorough theoretical as well as practical knowledge and prepare the students for some of the toughest competitive exams in the world. Our institution will emerge as a center of excellence in India. Probably ten years later we will establish a world-class University. I would like to serve our nation as well as society. What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for NRI Group of Institutions, Bhopal MP specifically?

“To have a research-centric education system”

The biggest challenge is the attitude of the youth towards their lives. The skills needed for the future and the imperative of reskilling is equally important for the inevitable structural transformations of higher education. Quality in higher education is a multi-dimensional, multilevel, and dynamic concept. Ensuring quality in higher education is amongst the foremost challenges being faced in India today. The Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) of India in higher education is only 15% which is quite low as compared to the developed as well as, other developing countries. There is no equity in GER among different sects of society. There is an inadequate focus on research in higher education institutes. Management of Indian education faces challenges of over-centralization, bureaucratic structures, and lack of accountability, transparency, and professionalism. As a result of the increase in the number of affiliated colleges and students, the burden of administrative functions of universities has significantly increased and the core focus on academics and research is diluted.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute?

“Ensuring safety, engagement, connectedness, and support throughout”

Relationships are the positive connections between students, adults, and peers in the institute. It fosters positive social interaction and establishes a nurturing environment of trust and support. Students who feel connected to school are more likely to succeed- they have better institute attendance, grades, and test scores and stay in school longer. Building these relationships requires perspectives that embrace positive attitudes and beliefs, cultural and linguistic competence, and understanding of the needs and experiences of students, and an understanding of the environment.
