Priyanka Jeetendra Godara is Chairman and Managing director (CMD) of SLBS Education group, president of Rajasthan Nursing school and College Federation, and Standard member in BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre ). In her interview she shares how the institute commenced and how it is progressing gradually year after year by making advancements in the educational domain. She encourages students to work hard with determination to reach their goals. Furthermore, she describes the unique approach the institute has towards creating curriculum and how they have engraved a milestone in the field of education in the soil of rural areas. Additionally, the institute organizes various workshops and activities to ensure upgradation of knowledge for students and faculty as well. In the later segment, she highlights the tremendous competition among the youth to get a good job and progressive career, and advises students to to think differently and explore new ideas in order to succeed and make a fulfilling career. 

The motive of the institute is to provide education to the deprived and underprivileged section of the society

The vision was dreamt by Mr. Jeetendra Godara, to serve the nation in any way possible. He took the initiative and commenced S.L.B.S Education Group in 2001. It is now my responsibility to take it forward and fulfill his dreams. 

The motive of starting the institute is to provide education to the unprivileged children around the nation, who are deprived of educational facilities. This really touched my heart, and now his dream has become mine. I am obliged to hold this position and serve the nation by educating students from the local and rural areas, to enhance their knowledge and enlighten them and help them and improve the living standards of their families, industry and society.

The above proverb summarizes my approach towards life and my leadership style. I always believe that dedication , hard work , discipline in life and working tirelessly towards the goal in life with the right strategy and planning can be achieved .As a leader I feel it's my responsibility to empower my students through quality education to realise their true potential and make their own fate and destiny .

We have organized a curriculum integrating the traditional style and modern techniques. We have over 22 certified courses running all over India. We operate on a semester based system compiling traditional syllabus with the newest method to meet the current needs of the industry.To impart Industry relevant training and skills we have MOU with Cairn centre of Excellence and Association with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Trombay. We also organize conferences, group discussions, seminars, workshops, student induction program, project presentation, ppt presentation, cultural fest, Tech fest, sports meet etc for students to bring the best from them. Moreover we make sure that students make most of their semester breaks by training themselves in the field they want to pursue. Our motive is to provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge to the students. We conduct special seminars for student's projects and ppt presentations, to build their skills, experience and self confidence in them. We are also associated with AISEC organization which assists students getting international internships in their respective fields. More importantly we organize Human value activities for students and faculties to build a better version of themselves.

We have engraved a milestone in the field of education in the soil of rural areas

Having crossed long years of hurdles and obstacles, we have reached the zenith of determination through SLBS Education Group offering value based quality education. We have engraved a milestone in the field of education in the soil of rural areas. SLBS education society has entered in technical education in a big way by starting various colleges and Engineering college is one of them, with Good teachers for giving good education to our students. Our infrastructure and human capital as a society are positive of providing the best education to cope up with the globalization challenges in any field. Also, Quality always has been the thrust of our society and that has been proved from time to time by getting social recognition in the form of various awards. Given the current shift in global workplaces, we have created our curriculum that is comparable and globally acceptable. In 2001 we initiated with very first course i.e. GNM in the institute and slowly and gradually we are growing up in this field generation after generation. Then in 2005 we started B.Ed college in Jodhpur. For us the years 2006 and 2007 have been proven to be lucky as we expanded the B.Ed colleges in Jaipur and Merta regions. In 2006 we got registered for new course i.e. B.Sc Nursing College in Jodhpur. In 2007 we got listed for two new courses AHDP and B.S.T.C and established their respective colleges in jodhpur along with that we extended our branch of institute in Jalamand/Pali. In 2008, we launched new course and college i.e. B- Tech in SLBS Engineering College, Jodhpur with many departments in it such as Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. Across Jodhpur, SLBS Engineering college is the only college which has started a unique course that is Petroleum Engineering with other courses too, this is a huge achievement for us. Also, along with B- Tech we have started Post Basic B.Sc Nursing in Jodhpur. In 2010, we added a Polytechnic course in our institute. In 2015, we built Ayurvedic Hospital at our campus in Jodhpur. In 2018 we added D - Pharma and BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science) colleges to our SLBS Education Group. And we hope to build and get affiliated with new courses in future. It took us many years to make SLBS a brand and this was possible only because of our SLBS Family who showed their complete dedication towards us. We are grateful to have highly qualified faculties and brilliant students who have been working really hard and giving their best efforts so that SLBS can reach greater heights. 

A positive atmosphere is felt when there is a good teacher-student relation and student-student relation

It becomes very easy and effective when we study in a positive atmosphere. A positive atmosphere is felt when there is a good teacher-student relation and student-student relation. So, in order to build that relation we organize orientation before the start of the session, so that students get to know their batch mates and faculties beforehand. We also conduct Human value activities for students to build a better person in them, to not be judgemental and discriminative. We also assign various group projects to students so that they work together and get to know themselves. There are many fests being organized to showcase students skills, to ensure that they are judged on the basis of their talent not on their socio- economic background

As learning is a continuous process, the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is organized once in a semester to update knowledge and to promote skills of the faculty members.Sponsored workshops / FDPs are organized with the financial support from AICTE, Research and Development (R&D) activities are conducted in which both the students and faculty members are equipped. Skill Development Courses are organized for the students and the faculty members of other institutions. We also conduct STUDENT INDUCTION Programme, seminars, National conferences for students to develop their skills in their field. Moreover, as it is said "HEALTH IS WEALTH", we make sure that our students and faculties are fit. For that we organize yoga sessions, aerobics, sports meet, etc. Also we used to have special human values classes for all our faculty members and 1st year students.

The most challenging aspect is to make people aware about the importance of Education. Still there are many parts in the world where education is not prominent for students especially in rural areas in India. To overcome this we decided to start an institute to make people understand the importance of higher education and provide them with the best knowledge and make their family and our institution proud as they achieve best in their lives. And we will be blessed when our alumni will reflect our institution's name across the world by their hard work, smart work and creative ideas.

There is a tremendous competition among the youth to get a good job and progressive career

With more than two third of the population of India under 35 years of age , there is tremendous competition among the youth to get a good job and progressive career . But those who have acquired the right skills required in the industry and are constantly upskilling themselves need not worry. There is no dearth of opportunities in India’s growing economy for skilled work force.Broad employability skills help graduates give employers precisely what they need I.e technologically-minded workers who are flexible, organised, and resourceful. My advice for the emerging students/youth is to think differently and explore new ideas

My advice for the emerging students/youth is to think differently. Try and explore new ideas without bringing your old ideas along for the ride. Never reject ideas just because you will not agree with them. Examine and study thoughts before setting them aside. Stand out to be heard. Be patient and persistent. Always remember luck comes from hard work; you can cheat everyone but not to yourself, so be loyal to yourself. Follow your passion but don't deviate from your regular studies..Don't just plan things, implement it, one learns from his own mistakes.
