KEI HR MEET

Date: June 02, 2022

“Human Resource (HR) Conclave” is an innovative concept of the KEI family to bring resourceful persons under one platform. This has brought many renowned companies to work in hand with the KEI group. Last year Kingston Educational Institute organized the first HR conclave in Aurangabad. It was really a grand success with companies in and around the industrial estate of Maharashtra participating in the program. Hand in hand with the national institute of personal management, the 1st national HR meeting was really a grand success. HR personnel from around 200 companies participated in the said program. It was really grand get-together where industry persons exchanged their views and provided us with avenues of opening for the students of Kingston Family. From there only, the KEI team launched the OJT (ON JOB TRAINING PROGRAM) program for the benefit of EE and ME students. Around 100 students from various departments successfully participated in the OJT program in various companies in and around Aurangabad. The students learned the rough and tough company scenarios and are ready products of KEI who have been placed in many companies thereafter. Also, the core management team of KEI visited many neighboring companies for the next 10 days to get an insight into the present job scenario in these core manufacturing sectors. Many companies also shared their views about the different work cultures they followed. Based on the experience visit, many grooming workshops have been conducted at the KEI campus to motivate the students so that they can change their typical mindset before they are selected to work in a 24x7 environment, which is really the need of the hour in the national and international job market. Continuing with the success story, KEI arranged the second national HR conclave in January at the De Sovrani hotel in Kolkata.

The key concept was “EARN WHILE YOU LEARN”. Many renowned companies participated in the conclave. HR and their representatives from Yazaki, Dhoot Transmission, Keventer, Mahindra, and Tata Motors are only a few names to add to the huge list. Over a hundred companies participated in the HR conclave. At the grand dinner HR and his /her representatives spoke about the present job scenario in west Bengal. They also invited us to visit their companies in days to come. Accordingly, our technical, management and TPO team started visiting various companies, not as a formal gesture, but to extend hands of cooperation in recruitment, consulting, etc for the benefit of the students and faculty members of the institute. KEI then understood the deviation of work scenarios in and outside the state of Bengal and the current opening in comparison to other states. It also emphasized training and visits for our students in Science, Management, Law and technology. Many law firms participated in our program also.

Finally, on 13.05.2022, the KEI group organized the 3rd National HR conclave at Zone by the Park Hotel, Kolkata. It was also a grand success where people from educational sectors to industry participated. Apart from representatives from small to medium scale companies, there are many start-up companies that have motivated us how to become young entrepreneurs. The key theme of the HR meeting was INDUSTRY-INSTITUTE PARTNERSHIP, which successfully accomplished. Representatives from KEI visited the company after the HR meeting and tried to explore the opportunities which can be made affordable for our students. Many companies have engaged our students for paid internships so that students are industry-ready before they pass the final degree or diploma examination. Success is undoubtedly the key milestone that has motivated us to go ahead and arrange an International HR conclave in days to come.
