KK University Bihar Registrar: Mr. Kaushlendra Pathak Interview

Mr. Kaushlendra Pathak is the Registrar of KK University Nalanda, Bihar. He has completed his Master’s in two different streams, first, in Computer Applications and another one in Management. He has more than 15 years of experience in this domain. During this period he has served in different private Universities in various capacities i.e. Lecturer, Examination Superintendent, HoD, Deputy Controller of Examinations, Deputy Director, Deputy Registrar, and Registrar (Officiating).

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Providing quality higher education with the aim to modernize an entire society”

The main objective of any higher educational institution is to impart quality education to society and as this work is related to the development of young individuals, it keeps me connected with the education sector.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“There is no substitute for teamwork when it comes to handling big administrations”

As an administrative head of the University, I focus on providing administrative assistance to the teachers, so that they could conduct their classes without having any problems. Further, I believe in Teamwork, one man cannot be a master in every task, it is the team that executes and completes the Task.

What are the highlighting features of your institute?

“An intricately designed curriculum according to the industry needs”

The University has a good infrastructure and has appointed a considerable number of excellent teachers, who impart quality teaching to the University students. Most of the programs of the University are professional and Technical Programmes therefore the curriculum of the programs has been designed as per the need of the industries.

How does your curriculum ensure the best practice of the industry?

“Continuous interactions with the big names of the industry for constant motivation”

We call the experts from the various industries as a member of the Board of Studies and Academic Council meeting of the University. They help our students and faculty members in a huge way, to make them understand current market trends.

Any insights into how your University practices inclusivity for students of different backgrounds?

“Flexibility and ease in fee payments for students via government schemes”

The Fee Structure of the University is finalized considering the economic condition of the State. The State Government of Bihar is also assisting the Students by Students Credit Card Scheme under Mukhyamantri saat nischay yojana.

What do you think should be the University's top priority over the next 10 years?

“Establishing more educational institutes of various specialties, especially healthcare”

To improve the Gross Enrollment Ratio along with the quality of Teaching and establishment of various schools under the University to impart the Medical/Dental and Allied Health programs to the Society.
