What are your roles and responsibilities?

“To provide adaptable education, workshops, industrial visits and tours to students”

One of my responsibilities is to provide relevant subjects for Hotel Management students. I like to conduct events, workshops, internships and industrial visits for pupils. It raises the knowledge level of each candidate in a practical way.


How do you establish healthy relations with students and faculty?

“Implement a friendly atmosphere inside the campus with coordination and mutual learning”

I like to build an atmosphere that values the beliefs and tones of each person. We try to build a healthy connection between students, parents and faculties. Learning outside the classroom gives me an opportunity to interact with kids. It assists us to understand each individual in a better way. I believe in giving respect and getting respect in society.


How do you bring a practical approach towards subjects as industry-oriented?

“Organize Interactive Session, Food Festivals, and Cuisines Workshops for students”

It is necessary to attain the latest trends in technology for students. We organize food production practicals, Masterclass, food festivals and competitions for them. They also attend the Interactive Session by Professional Chefs and Cuisines Workshops. Our students get career opportunities in Food Processing Units, HoReCa Industry, and FMCG.

How do you strategize and update the curriculum for students in IHMCS?

“Update practical menu choices and conduct theme lunches for pupils”

Our campus affiliates to RISU and we follow the syllabus each year. One of the focuses is to deliver industry practicals and update practical menu choices. Students try to face a real time situation through the frequent theme lunches organized on campus.


What extracurricular programs raise the skills of students to expose real-world challenges?

“Sports and cultural events like Cricket, Volleyball, and Badminton are provided to all”

We conduct cultural events like Cricket, Volleyball, and Badminton for students. The campus also organizes quizzes, Debate, minute shows, Ad Mad Show, Poster Making, Flower Decoration, and Management Games. These are managed by students. Our infrastructure consists of an LCD projector, computers, laptops, microphones, speakers, and a sound system. These increase the skills of pupils.


What challenges do you face to uplift the education quality of your department?

“Pandemic changes in education and misguidance regarding the Hospitality industry”

Each challenge helps us to attain new growth and we overcome many of these problems on our campus. One of the challenges is misguidance regarding the course/Hospitality Industry. Most people are unaware of the Hospitality profession and it creates difficult syllabus designing. We also faced a pandemic period that consisted of lockdown and shut down the campus. Online education did not attain the attachments of face-to-face sessions. Our faculties try to give their best work at that period.


What approaches do you bring apart from the curriculum to train students in IHMCS?

“Placement, Cultural/Training Camp, and Social Events available to every student”

Our dedicated members assist the growth of academics. A true mentor is a great strength for campus and students. We provide Placement, Cultural/Training camps, and Social Events for students. They are interested in the production of food and it helps me to interact with them fastly.

Any advice do you give for students to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Update the skills, stay positive and keep growing”

Students should update their skills as per the latest trends. We can see that the world is changing every day and you need to pace up with it. Stay positive, face every challenge and keep growing.
