What are some things that you find unique to the Education Sector?

“A unique sector that finds growth over the time through technology”

My experience as a teacher goes back a long way, and as the world changes, so does the education industry. Change can be both good and bad. Technology has brought about a lot of good changes over the years. An excellent example of the use of technology is the pandemic situation around the world. In the aftermath of Covid-19 affecting the country, schools and colleges had been adversely affected. Campus education was not available to students. Through internet connectivity, software, hardware, and other equipped products, students are able to continue to progress in their education.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Providing a quality educational experience for all students of ACDS”

Being the senior core faculty member of ACDS, my main responsibilities are to ensure proper academic education for all the students of ACDS. Also, providing education on the basis of continuous assessment and grading the students accordingly. The students receive the most recent education. And as a course coordinator, my duties are to ensure all students are in the right frame when they are in ACDS with regards to education, extra activities, university qualifications, etc. I also play a role in creating annual teaching plans, planning for seminars and workshops for students.

What do you see as ACDS’s greatest strengths?

“The highly qualified core faculties and modern infrastructure”

One of the key strengths of my department is the core faculty that is highly qualified and has a wide range of experience in their respective fields for almost 8 years. ACDS also has a well-equipped infrastructure. As a result, students get the latest training methodology and practical experience needed to survive in the fashion industry after they graduate.

How is ACDS coping up in these Covid Times?

“Recorded audio and video demo lectures for continuous learning”

Aditya Design Studies offers courses that are creative and require practical training. Although the pandemic situation seemed to hamper the process of education, as someone said, "the show must go on". We at ACDS introduced demonstration lectures for the students where the classrooms were set up with cameras and lights for the students to view all that was taught by the teachers. The classwork and projects were assigned based on the demos given. Since I mentioned earlier, technology has had a huge impact on education, and this is one of those changes.

What type of training is provided to the students for skill enhancement?

“Internship and training opportunities with renowned industry brands”

ACDS students receive an education that is updated with the approvals of UGC-recognized universities. Thus, ACDS guarantees students' knowledge is up-to-date and meets all trends. Apart from this ACDS gives internships and placements with the connections they have in the field of retail, with well-known stylists and designers. Hence, by the time students graduate from our college they are well versed with the fashion industry and are confident enough to bag any placement opportunity.

What are some plans you’re currently (or will be) designing for ACDS?

“Students will get an opportunity to work in different domains with multiple subjects”

As we offer a wide array of subjects to choose from, students are able to decide what subjects they want to master. Additionally, with the increasing competition in the education field, ACDS will be providing educational methods that are new. Now that students can work on the latest machines, we have created a photography studio so they can also learn more about photography and other related fields.

Any suggestions for the aspiring students looking to pursue Design as a career option?

“Developing skills is highly essential to excel in this tough environment”

The sincerity of students toward education has decreased over the years. Students have reduced their level of dedication over the years. My experience as a teacher goes back more than 15 years, and I always advise the students to be more sincere and dedicated. There is a lot of competition in this field, so only students with extraordinary skills will succeed.
