What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students in Netaji Subhas University, Jamshedpur?

“Classroom teaching, academic advising and counseling of students are my primary responsibilities”

One of the primary responsibilities is academic advising and counseling of students. Other sections include effective classroom teaching, participation in departmental committee work, and continuous development of the curriculum through assessment. We bring continuous development on campus through assessment, applied research or scholarly activity. I always assist students with recruitment and help them to succeed academically. 

What valuable advice do you give for students to have a prosperous career ahead? 

“To be a lifelong learner, work with interest and attain job satisfaction”

My advice for pupils is to be a lifelong learner throughout your career. They need to work on their interests to achieve best results. I guide students to pick up particular specializations as per their interest. It ensures good job satisfaction.

One of the greatest strengths is academics and practical teaching. Our department faculties are cooperative and disciplined. We move forward and initiate developments through cooperative attitudes. Success relies on working and knowing our strengths.

“Provide individualized education programs and Edtech teaching strategies for students”

Teachers work for each student who faces difficulties in the classroom. Individualized education programs give necessary knowledge for students and overcome challenges quickly. We bring personalized learning in classrooms to explore various options. Edtech teaching strategies improve the knowledge level of pupils.

“Communication skills, complex design process and learners' needs are a little bit difficult in some situations”

Our teachers sometimes face trouble with complex design processes. It is challenging to understand learners' needs as per various contexts. Another one is the lack of communication skills among students. They perform well in studies but back in communication. So, the placements become a little tough for them. 

Do you have any extracurricular activities that enhance the students' skills to face real world challenges?

“Project training and workshops for improving practical skills to pupils”

Our program combines social and sustainable aspects of the current economy with challenges facing the corporate world. The methods adopted by the faculty members include lecture, interactive mode, project-based learning, computer-assisted learning, experiential learning, and seminars. We provide project training and special workshops for improving practical skills in courses.
