Prof. (Dr.) Namita Arora is the COE at Lords University, Alwar. She has been serving in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences for the last 16 years. She completed her bachelor’s degree in B.Pharm and has also done post-graduation. She completed her doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is also a lifetime member of various associations like the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association (IPGA) etc. She has been accorded with many awards on the national level. She was granted the Best Oral Presentation award during the APTI convention and was given the first prize in the National Elocution competition organized by Indian Pharmaceutical Association.

What are your responsibilities to the University and the students?

“My role at the university is to manage all examination-related business"

Being the Controller of Examinations of Lords University, I am the Officer in charge of all examination-related affairs of the University. My role towards the University and the students is to manage the whole system of examinations, right from the declaration of conduct of examinations to the publication of results in a fair and scheduled manner.

How do you plan various strategies for your department?

“We plan the exams with pre and post activities in a detailed manner”

To strategize about the key programs and plans for examination cell, the work related to the examination department has been divided into three different phases:

Pre-examination work:

  • To prepare and announce in advance the calendar of examinations;
  • making all arrangements necessary for holding examinations
  • PrePrinting of Examination stationery
  • to appoint paper-setters, examiners and moderators

Conduct of examination:

  • issuing roll numbers, verifying admit cards.
  • to appoint Centre superintendent, Deputy CS, and flying squads for smooth functioning.
  • to arrange for printing of question papers.

Post-examination work:

  • Arrangements for evaluation of answer scripts
  • Processing and publishing the results in time
  • Issuing Mark sheets and other necessary documents.

The education sector is one of the most respected sectors. Along with my work as COE, I take some classes every week to remain in touch with my field of study, Pedagogy and share my experiences with students. This keeps me up to date with knowledge of my subject and latest technology. It allows me to lead a more aware and intellectual lifestyle.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Achieve the best outputs in terms of well-qualified students, placements in reputed organizations”

Earning an educational degree is of utmost importance for a student. To be able to efficiently realize this prime aim of the students is our main target. Aligning to this view, over the next ten years, Lords University focuses on earning name and fame. This can only be possible with the best inputs and better outputs. What has been your vision for the growth of this College?

“To carry out operations in a disciplined and efficient manner”

My vision is to manage the process and execution of examination work in a disciplined and efficient manner maintaining the confidentiality of the examination cell. To achieve this we follow the simple rules of management theory regarding planning, organizing, and execution of examination work.
