GSFC University, Vadodara and Paul Masion Consultancy (PMC), UK based company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 6th May, 2022 Friday for collaborative initiatives. PMC is a leading retail IT services and consulting business has offices in India and the UK. PMC is renowned for its open, honest, and direct approach. The MoU will pave the way for enhancing skills and knowledge through Internships, Workshops, Seminar, Projects and placement opportunity to the students.

Mr. Saurabh Shah, Dean-School of Technology, GSFCU, and Mr. Richard Lowe – Chief Executive Officer, PMC signed the MoU. The MOU signing ceremony was witnessed by the Senior executives of GSFC University and PMC. Under the esteemed leadership of Shri P.K. Taneja, IAS (Retd.), President-GSFC University the University is flourishing in leaps and bounds.

GSFC University introduces a course on Health in Post-COVID Era

GSFC University, in its coming academic year, introduces a new course “Health & Hygiene in Post-COVID Era” for all the students of the University. The course will deal with important health related issues necessary to learn in the post-pandemic time. The course will be mandatory with 2 credits. The faculty team of the University has prepared a complete 30-hour course pack which will help the students to understand epidemiology and Identify the core epidemiologic functions and their application in public health practice. It will also help to gain understanding of the relationship between the rise of infectious diseases, modern lifestyles, and interaction with the microbial world. More important aspect of the course is its utility in terms of learning healthy living practices.

Dr Nikhil Zaveri, Provost of the University says, “We will fail in our duty if we do not respond to the changing world at the right time, and do not align with the emerging urgent need of the society. ``Read & Respond Dynamism’ is necessary for giving relevant and meaningful education.”  He further added, “Our students will be well-educated skillfully in the area of health & hygiene and will not only be ready to practice healthy living for themselves, but also will help others to follow suit.” He said, “We are also planning to introduce Basic Nursing Skills as a full 2-credit course wherein students will learn basic treatment applications in order to prevent the initial delay in fundamental treatment and avoid medical failures.” He said, “NEP expects Universities to be multidisciplinary in true sense being in tune with societal needs, and we are one of them.
