What are your roles and responsibilities as a faculty to students?

“To plan and prepare the course appropriately for students”

We as faculty have enormous roles to play, especially as a BEC faculty I need to present the lessons in a comprehensive manner using audio/ video facilities. To plan and prepare the course appropriately. We need to be student motivator, mentor and guide to help them to face the challenging situations

How would you describe Prism Degree College?

“Prism Degree College is the Temple of Education”

To me, Prism is a Temple of Knowledge where the sunshine as a ray of light fall with different colors reflecting on the students by enhancing their knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies, values, excellent behavioral aspects, and positive attitude

What would you suggest to upcoming aspiring students?

“Believe in yourself and understand the significance of Emotional Intelligence”

I would like to express that at any point in time I would help my students in every aspect when it is needed. To help them understand the difficulties and critical situations they would face in their academic career and suggestions to overcome those situations. I would make them understand the importance of constructive criticism. The significance of Emotional intelligence will make them psychological and mentally stronger especially facing the outside competitive world

What are the upcoming educational trends you have noticed?

“Hybrid model of education is the upcoming educational trend after COVID-19”

This Pandemic has taught us to be flexible in our educational approach, so from traditional classroom teaching, we are now using digital and educational technologies. We can now teach via an online or offline mode of instruction. I can also forecast many types of upgrades with teaching methodologies and techniques.

What are the skills required for students to prepare themselves during this time and future?

“Provide Students with skill-enhancing programs at regular intervals”

According to my thinking as a BEC faculty, I focus on listening skills, speaking skills, reading skills, and writing skills for improving their business communication. So that for their futuristic needs they are ready to tackle any situation. Thus, these play a vital role in their skill as well as personality development.

How is the curriculum of Prism Degree college different from other institutions?

“Our curriculum provides students with an updated syllabus at regular intervals”

We do have our curriculum designed by Andhra University, Prism follows the additional practical oriented modes of instructions like usage of Seminars, group discussion, public speaking, Science laboratories, computer labs, Skill development program, Campus recruitment training program, etc

What are the greatest strengths of Prism Degree College according to you?

“Discipline, value system and excellent behavior are the core strengths”

According to my Discipline, value system and excellent behavior is the core strength which is inculcated in our students. This is not only taught but practiced here. We not only teach them bookish knowledge but also the moral values that are very important and seem lacking in the new generation. Giving an environment to grow is the greatest strength of Prism Degree College.

How do you ensure the regular flow of knowledge in your institution?

“Providing students with regular and updated knowledge”

Knowledge gaining and imparting is a continuous process, so we as faculty members have to keep upgrading our knowledge, skill, and abilities according to the needs of the students. We put continuous efforts to learn and be proficient with the subject and make sure the knowledge is imparted to the students. That’s how we ensure a regular flow of knowledge in our institution.

What would you call "best practices" in the course you're offering?

“To encourage and motivate students to develop their communication skills”

The best practice I follow is to encourage and motivate the students to develop their communication skills especially for the one who needs my assistance. I design simplified course material and slowly bring up their standard. We keep in mind that students learn something and get value from what is being taught to them and can use their learnings where it is required. I always tend to empower my students and make them ready for the worst and best situations.

To prepare students for the future we have various campus recruitment training programs which are offered by leading educational institutions which enhance reasoning, logical aptitude, math, and other subjects for our students. Apart from that APSSDC offered by our state government portal initiated various skill development programs and placement opportunities.
