Narsimha Reddy Engineering College

Dr. P. Sekhar Babu is designated as the Principal of Narsimha Reddy Engineering College. He has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with M.Tech. and other technical degrees. The educationalist has published nearly 25 research papers in various international and national journals. With this, he is an active member in professional organisations like The Institution of Engineers, Indian Society for Technical Education and holds Professional Memberships in MIE and MISTE.

Experience in the education industry

I have around 22 years of experience in the education industry. Teaching is a noble profession where we have the liberty to transform the students into a responsible and valuable citizen with expertise in their field of study.

Challenges faced as the Principal of NRCM

As of now, I have not come across any challenges at this position. The major reason behind this fact is that our institution is well established and it is already accredited by NBA and NAAC with A grade. Till date, the standards in terms of quality education and infrastructure has been up to the mark.

Standard of the curriculum

We ensure that the curriculum at our institution is updated as per the varying needs of the industry from time to time.  We have experts from the Industries who are in our Governing Body and have MOU with many industries.

Qualities of aspiring engineers

As per my understanding and experience, a student’s attitude is what matters. Basically, a good student possesses the ability and willingness to learn new subjects and things. With this, they must also follow the policy of understanding rather than memorizing concepts.

Student’s reaction towards the programs

Every student who joined us definitely feels the difference with our practical oriented teaching methodology. But this method helps in making the learning process easy and more effective.  

Methods opted to build healthy relations with the students

For me, a healthy and positive teacher-student relationship is very important. This approach helps in understanding the requirement of the students, monitoring their progress and in ensuring that the designed academic systems are in line with the current market demand.

Placement opportunities at NRCM

NRCM has a dedicated center for placements of the students. Our college has a record of the highest number of company visits every year for placements. The students here are trained and polished as per the industry standards. For this, we hold various seminars, workshops and invite industry experts in order to enlighten the students about the real-world scenario and other facts.

Leadership philosophy and style

I believe, having transparency in administration and clear communication is the backbone for any effective administration. Apart from this, we use scientific techniques for effective governance.

Suggestion to the upcoming youth and aspirants

My suggestion to the students is to have positive thinking in every part of their lives. With this, it is important to do hard work as it will definitely transform you to be a successful engineer. Remember that there is no shortcut for success without hard work. Always get inspired by people like APJ Abdul Kalam, Satya Nadella among many others.
