Have you introduced any new programs at your college? If yes, please give us a brief highlight of the same?

“To make students deal with international market we are coming up with a new course”

We are starting a new program this year, i.e. International BBA. The course focuses on the disciplines of International Business. In simple terms, it deals with cross border trade/ transactions of goods and services. Thanks to Globalization. Markets across the globe have become accessible. Some examples are Import and Export, Outsourcing, Trade of Goods and Services, besides; it includes Trade/Transaction of Capital Technology, Human Resources and Knowledge. Dealing with the International market is a different game altogether, and this is where International Business comes handy.


Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to the real-world challenges? 

“We blend activities to strike a perfect balance between academics and activities”

Every Saturday the College has extracurricular activities by all the departments in the College which includes Debates, Quiz competitions, Presentations, Seminars, Workshop, Sports etc. Apart from all the above activities, the students get introduced to FRI, Science City, Camping and other places where they can gain knowledge and experience the challenges.

What are the placement statistics of your college? 

“The placements are decent for our college and is continuously improving every year”

Till date, what has been your avg. package offered to the student? Please tell us about the highest package offered to the student as well?

“While surfing for Engineering Colleges, students tends to look towards the placement record of colleges”

Maya Group of Colleges has a placement cell that takes care of the training of the students. These training include Communication, which provides for Pronunciation, Fluency, Grammar so that the student can crack Online questions in English, Aptitude etc. Also, mock interviews and group discussions are carried out regularly.

A lot of companies have been invited in previous years, to name a few - MC Kinsey, Cognizant, Toyota, India Mart, Byju's, Accenture, Omics, Amazon, Collabra, Amrutanjan etc. for the students of B.Tech, B Sc Agriculture and B.Pharma. Recently Amazon had come for a Placement drive to the College. Our eight students got selected at a package of 8.7 lac per annum. In Collabera, our ten students got chosen out of 15 from 12 Colleges in Uttarakhand at a package of 8.5 lac. It is also the average package that a company has offered in our College. The highest package that a student has got from Our College is 18.65 lac/annum.


Being the Vice Chairman of Maya Group of Colleges, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“A leader is someone who is magnanimous, has tremendous knowledge to bring the best potential”

I would describe my leadership as a friend, philosopher and guide to my colleagues and students. Being the leader, it becomes my duty to keep my faculty equipped with Technology and other modes of operations. Students must benefit academically in a healthy environment with proper knowledge in his field and other activities so that he/she can face challenges. We have an open-door policy; everyone is free to discuss their problems with concerned HOD and Director.

“We bring out the speciality in our students to be a purposeful citizen which the most famous institutes are not capable of. We mould raw mud into porcelain. We prepare the student to face challenges of all kinds for building a healthy society and a strong Nation”

With the competition so high, how do you guide your students to survive in such a competitive scenario?

“With the policy of patience and perseverance” A student requires the right guidance. Apart from Academics, there are so many things and activities of interest to a student. We try our best to provide knowledge of different things for the benefit of students.
