How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?

“Involving students in practical activities and classes”

First and foremost, the key is to inculcate amongst the students, the background and the need of the subject. Personally, I discuss the efficacy of a particular subject in terms of how much of it influences an aspect of any job in the Media field. I try to show them video testimonials or documentaries which etch out the subject and its need in professional life and thereafter involve them in class projects. This requires them to take a professional approach to a situation at hand; and thereafter I provide constructive feedback on their work. This helps in their problem solving and skill development in that particular field.

What best practices are offered to help students gain necessary skills?

“Potential creative and learning approaches”

The Media Science department at ILEAD College offers the best in class infrastructure to the students in Audio-Visual Production, Corporate Presentations, with innovative curricula design which encourages the students to have a hands-on approach to their studies. We thrive in making sure our students are going beyond the textbooks to creatively approach their tasks with a professional overview, closely monitored by their mentors and heads.

How does your department prepare students for higher education?

“Encouraging students for greater exposures”

Through a continuous exposure to current affairs and mixing it with theoretical knowledge, we provide our students with a situation where curiosity is fanned. This curiosity is further enhanced by encouraging them to consult books in ILEAD Library from which, more often than not the thirst for knowledge multiplies. We thereafter encourage them to opt for higher education as it enhances their academic prowess further and makes them more ready for the bigger world out there.

How do you help your student to cope up with the high competition outside?

“Improving mindset and skills of concern”

At the BMS Department, the role of the mentor is to make sure their mentee is not stressed about any other competition than that from himself/herself. We encourage our students to hone their own skills and aim for perfection, so that they are secured in their skill-sets and thereby have nothing to fear from any competition. They must be equipped enough to trust their own prowess to stay ahead of the curve in the outside world.

What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths?

“More fruitful student-oriented guidelines”

The greatest strength of the Media Department at iLead College is our current pedagogy combined with our advanced mentorship. This can certainly be furthered by adopting flexibility in approach to both and striking a friendlier chord with all our students while balancing the student-teacher relationship. We are in process of experimenting with hybrid classes and we are also favoring the safekeeping of mental health through seminars, talks and personal mentorship – if and when these can be institutionalized, we will progress even further.

What valuable advice would you like to give to the students?

“Accept knowledge and success as yourself”

I would always advise all the students to be like sponges – absorb all the knowledge, nuances, education, practicality etc. Alongside that students should value their mental health too and not enter a rat-race because someone else wants them to succeed! Success is relative and if we encourage students to understand that they in their own are success stories waiting to evolve further, we can eliminate the nastiness of these rat-races and encourage holistic development.
