How does the curriculum of Cherraan's College of Pharmacy ensure the best practice of industry?

“The institute is capable of delivering quality education with our extensive research facilities”

The institute is well equipped with the State-of-the-art infrastructure in the Labs of Departments of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmacology. A visit to our institute’s Labs will offer you an experience of being at a small version of the Pharma Industry. The curriculum framed and recommended by the Affiliating University instils basic to advanced knowledge of Industry through subjects such as Pharmaceutical Technology, Engineering, Industrial Pharmacy, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control and Quality Assurance etc.

Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“We are well equipped with our facilities to accommodate and cater the need of the aspirants”

To accommodate the aspirants from Indian states and subcontinents, an established procedure by the University is in place (Eligibility Criteria). Our institute has housed and accommodates students from Iran, Sudan and Vietnam for various pharma programmes such as B.Pharm, Pharm.D and M.Pharm. However, limitations in several admissions and visa processing by the respective embassy matter as per the established norms. In Cherraan’s College of Pharmacy, we give more preference to the aspirants from a lower economic section of the country. (First graduate and S/SC Scholarship from the Govt. of Tamil Nadu are encouraging factors).

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“I assure that the students are met with upgraded facilities which give them a launchpad to grow”

Being the Top executive and chief of academic administrators, my core principle or philosophy is to act as a connecting and guiding triangular bridge between the society, faculty and the students of my organization. My primary duty is to standardize the existing systems and policies and upgrade them for the betterment of society.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the College and the students are?

“It is my responsibility to uplift the education standards and bring in new possibilities for a positive growth”

The primary role is to administrate the institute towards a constant growth rate and reputation by putting my full efforts for offering quality education. It is achieved through mentoring my colleagues and students on the right path with all the available resources before me. The mentoring necessitates personal care on the weaker section of the faculty and the students by implementing a novel way of quality assurance.

“The covid-19 situation is a temporary blockade in our life cycle. Do not lose your heart. I welcome the pharma aspirants to join the family of Cherraan, you will be taken care of; shaped and be given the right paths to taste success.”

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute?

“A feedback system ensures a two way communication which helps to ensure growth in the longer run”

We have a mentoring and counseling system already in place. I am planning to increase the number of parent-teacher/guardian meetings from the 2020-21 academic year onwards. A feedback system is essential to establish two-way communication to come to a mutual understanding. It helps to encompass various levels of authority.
