What is the program your institute offers to students for helping them stand apart from the crowd?

The Vivekananda Institute of Technology, Jaipur affiliated with RTU Kota and approved by AICTE New Delhi. It offers a B.Tech. program in CSE. It is the time of Computer Science and Information Technology, where all the Government offices are going Digitized. So, the CS branch teaches students about the latest tools and technologies which help them to stand apart from the crowd.

“Recent Industry requirements make the program best”

Today in trends like where everything is going online, even study is nowadays online. So, the industry requirements make this program best from the student’s point of view. COVID-19 has disrupted the whole industry. More and more of the population is going online at a drastic rate.

What will you say are the “best practices” in the course you’re offering?

“Providing students with specific training and internships in the latest technologies”

Yes, the best practice is to meet industry requirements. Here, students get knowledge about the latest tools and technologies. Especially, at the end of every semester, students need to complete specific training (internship) to learn about new technologies and tools. 

What are some valuable insights into the program that you are offering at your institute?

“Providing Students with Technical events and Project Exhibitions”

Valuable insights in terms of student participation can be a good answer. Here, students are always eagerly waiting for new technical events. Also, the projects in Project Exhibition present valuable insight into our department.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

“Student's Performance is tracked via semester exams and extracurricular activities”

Assessment is one way to ensure the student’s performance. So, it is a policy to evaluate student performance via semester exams as well as performance also validated by participation in extracurricular activities. At this point, the approach is very clear to motivate students to take part in national-level competitions like Hackathons. 

How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?

“Providing Faculty with Faculty Development Program”

Participation in the national level Faculty Development Program gives refreshment and improvement in teaching to faculties. Also, there are many online and offline workshops to learn about new technologies.

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of the students?

“Providing Students with extracurricular programs like Quiz, Seminar, Hackathon, etc”

Yes, in our department, there are several activities like quizzes, Seminars, Hackathons, and Project exhibitions to improve student skills. The selected student teams are also motivating to take part in outside activities and competitions.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?

“Providing students with industrial visits to gain practical experience”

The internship program is the direct connection with industry in every semester. Also, the organization of Industry visits and Expert sessions allow students to be more attached to the industry. Despite the pandemic, the practical education for our college has not stopped at all. I ensured that the virtual industrial visits take place at regular intervals. At our college, we provide online classes at regular intervals. Various courses are offered with qualified faculty who are committed to providing quality education. 

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

“This Course opens a large number of opportunities for the students”

This course is applicable almost everywhere, not only Govt. organizations but also Private organizations. The most important benefit is that a student becomes at that level where he/she can start their Start-up like a new business.
