LOGMIEER

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“To create a positive and innovative environment in college”

My responsibility is to maintain an environment that boosts innovation and to provide an infrastructure for social and national development. And I also ensure that all activities are completed on time, everyone is in sync and my faculties and students stay motivated.

What is your leadership philosophy?

“A true leader provides the right path to everyone to grow”

I would describe my leadership style as outcome-oriented. In an ideal case, I'd like to have goals in place for every single employee regardless of how simple their job is. Once we have the goals in place, we can set milestones or daily schedules for everyone, and I can lead them on their way to continuously attain their goals, by checking their progress daily, making sure they know what they are supposed to do, delegating work, counseling them.

How does the curriculum of Loknete institute ensure the best practices of the industry?

“It is prepared and updated as per University guidelines”

Our institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and AICTE. So the curriculum is designed by SPPU according to AICTE guidelines. Apart from this, we arrange many co-curricular activities such as workshops, seminars, conferences, project competitions and expert lectures from industry persons. All these activities ensure that our students possess engineering qualities mentioned in Washington Accord - International Engineering Alliance.

How is your college more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“We enforce equality among students through various kinds of events”

We provide equal learning and growth opportunities despite their background status. Because what matters for us is our goal of imparting the best quality education to students to make them not only good engineers but great people in society. Lastly, any type of inequality is strictly prohibited here and we conduct engagement programs also for students so that they can communicate well with their peers and establish a cordial environment.

What do you think should be the College's top priority over the next 10 years?

“We should keep upgrading ourselves in terms of education quality”

In my opinion, we should be focusing more on maintaining the quality education which we are offering for a long time. Next, we should strive to bring the best growth opportunities for students, teachers and staff for their growth. And lastly, we should strengthen our existing relationship with our industry partners.

What would you like people to know about your college?

“We address students' needs and concerns on an individual basis”

We organize an activity called the Mentor-Mentee scheme in which we assign a Mentor from the institute to each student. This mentor personally takes care of the overall development of each student. We also offer scholarships in addition to government scholarships. At last, we are running an entrepreneur cell to create new entrepreneurs from the institute.

What are some of the greatest strengths of your college?

“Our faculties are the main pillar of our institute”

Our institute provides Academic and Technical Excellence to all Classes of the Society for Socio-Economic Development of the Region. And this we achieve with the help of our highly qualified and experienced faculties, hence our faculties are our main pillars of strength.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in general?

“Ever-changing industry and societal needs”

In today’s world, there are a wide variety of challenges as far as higher education is concerned. But some of these which I would like to highlight are:

  • Increasing the need for lifelong learning in a non-linear world.
  • Evolving needs and expectations of the "student-consumer".
  • Emerging technologies and business models.

How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your College?

“We have created committees to address issues on time and to ensure a cordial environment”

We follow a hierarchical approach of roles and responsibilities to enforce a cordial environment among everyone in our college. And for this, we have created committees like Women Grievance Cell, Students Grievance Cell, Faculty Grievance cell and Anti-ragging cell to support a healthy and productive environment. Through these committees, everyone can put forward their concerns, be it personal or professional and we ensure to resolve their issues on time.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

“Be humble and observe things carefully before responding”

I would like to advise my students to think before you act and do not be blind followers of everyone around you. Keep your attitude humble when you meet someone. Be ethically and emotionally strong.
