What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
“Being able to learn new concepts and acquire modern capabilities keeps me determined”
In 1998 along with my Mentor Founder Chancellor Mr. Ramashankar Singh, I started ITM Group of Institutions Gwalior. It has been a long journey since then. I think passion to learn, unlearn and relearn is the driving force behind my long time association with this education field. I have always wanted to mold our education system according to global standards.
What is your philosophy of leadership and its unbiased implementation?
“A good leader must give the right environment and guidance so the best talent can blossom”
I like to motivate my team and provide them the necessary skills and opportunities to flourish. In Both Gwalior as well as Baroda I have been involved in the institution's fundamental operations. Hence, I personally feel that as management we have to be involved in different fields such as college’s architecture, marketing plans, HR, finance, academics or student matters.
How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practice of industry?
“A curriculum that gives the opportunity to choose the subjects of their own likeness”
The curriculum follows some of the best practices followed by best institutions across the world. Industry feedback and participation is an ongoing process of curriculum development. Our curriculum gives its students a choice to craft their own path. With choice based subjects, they can study any paper they feel is of importance in their growth. They can include it in their syllabus. The curriculum is dynamic based on the cafeteria system.

As a Founding president of ITM SLS Baroda University, I feel compelled to give the best environment to my students in terms of infrastructure, facilities and Faculties. Our teachers must be excellent and play the role of a life guide. Our teachers and students need to stay motivated and happy only then can the learning be lifelong.
What do you think should be the university's top priority over the next 10 years?
“To implement research-based learning and facilitate growth of innovation”
University's top priority over the next 10 yrs is to integrate Industry and sustainable development into research. Set up an ecosystem where scientific temper and sustainable technology can pave the developmental efforts of the human race.
What has been your vision for the university?
“Educational institutions should play a major role in Research and development”
There is huge scope for improvement in the current education sector. It needs to be global in nature. As a renowned institute, you are existing on a wider platform and that is why you need to take not only a national but a global perspective. Our students need to be better prepared for the challenges of the work industry. They must understand that apart from human-created adversities there will be natural consequences as well.
What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?
“Largest Art and Sculpture embedded Campuses both in Baroda and Gwalior in the entire Nation”
Apart from quality education, we are known for our Aesthetics, Art, and Sculptures which have been created on the campus. The sculptures created here are huge. The art camps held in the past 10 yrs have enriched our students aesthetically and their experiences of witnessing the processes connect them to that art. We are developing an Art and sculpture park which I think is very unique for an educational campus.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?
“A need to advocate innovative learning methods that are aligned with the industry requirements”
The youth today is highly exposed to everything. You have a plethora of knowledge and misinformation on the internet. One must learn to realise the difference between the two. Also, universities will have to go more hands-on and practical with the times. ‘Invention’ is the keyword for the survival of any University. Campuses will need to be interdisciplinary, multilevel, virtual, and industrial.
