What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Pride value of guiding students towards their future aspect for contributing towards Nation”

I am very proud to be associated with the education sector, as it is the foundation of any society. Education is liberating, it is empowering. It is a continuously evolving sector that keeps one energized. There is also a sense of fulfillment as you are making some meaningful contribution to the lives of people. Good interpersonal interactions with bright minds keep one engaged positively.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?

“Exploration of several activities to bring in the international concept of education in our institute”

  • In our institute, foreign students get a good ecosystem. They get exposed to different cultures from all across the country.
  • There is a good exchange of values and cultures, simultaneously as they are studying the course content.
  • The university provides the best ecosystems that any student from any nationality can get exposed to.
  • So many cultural programs and addresses by dignitaries are frequently held in the university.
  • Our NIRF ranking over the past several years has been consistent. We have been featured in the top 10 universities over several years. Besides the educational facilities that we have, whole round personality development is possible.

What is your opinion on the New Education Policy 2020? And how will it benefit the students to become corporate ready?

“Vocational series of education for students for customizing the education”

One of the most important benefits that I found was the multiple entry points and especially for international students, there is a lot of focus on vocational education. Students like to work on live projects simultaneously; they like to start working at an early age. So, they are already looking up to an environment where a lot of flexibility and agility is there in terms of the courses and curriculum that we offer.

“Learning is not attained by chance. It must be sought for with ardor and attended with diligence.”

How does the curriculum of PUMBA ensure the best practice of the industry?

“The experiential learning to carve a great work experience and teamwork management for students”

We follow a trimester pattern with a flexible syllabus incorporating a choice based credit system with Cafeteria subjects taught by alumni with industry exposure. We have 4 projects in the course

  • Group project.
  • Trainings
  • Summer Internship.
  • Social project
  • Final Internship or Pre Placement project.

What are some plans that you’re currently (or will be) designing for your College?

“Flexibility of academia and active curricular to get the institute on another level”

As a university, our focus as of now is implementing the NEP and molding our syllabi so that it is more suitable to NEP. So, the advantages of the new educational policy should circulate to all departments, to all courses. That’s one area that the university is working on. And simultaneously in the departments, our courses will also be restructured according to the new educational policy, which is more flexible, which is more accommodative, and will take our educational system a notch higher than what it was before. On that hand, a lot of effort is being already concentrated and different boards have already started working on the NEP.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Mindfulness and focus of the youth to develop in every arena”

The younger generation needs to realize the importance of mindfulness and focus. The focus on the present and not the past or future keeps us energized, relieves stress, helps us in taking better decisions, and makes us more joyous persons.
