Aliah University has released the merit list for admission 2022 for all the programmes. Applicants can now visit the official website to check more details.

Aliah University, Kolkata has started the admission process for the academic session 2022-23. The autonomous university accepts the score for national and state level examinations of AUAT, WBJEE and GATE.

The university conducts counselling for the shortlisted candidates and helps other colleges for the admission process. All the applicants need to submit their forms online through the site and then the admission process starts.

The university also conducts in-house entrance exams which are valid for the colleges in West Bengal state only. The university releases a merit list according to the merit secured by the applicants and then offers counselling for admission in respective colleges. Aliah University Admission test AUAT 2022 is conducted for UG and PG courses offered in the university every year.

The University uses the aggregate marks of the students secured in the qualifying examination and the entrance exam score of AUAT. Once the exam committee releases the score, the merit list is prepared keeping the below calculations in mind:

Step 1: % of marks obtained in class 10 x 0.2

Step 2: % of marks obtained in class (10+2) x 0.2

Step 3: % of marks obtained in UG (General) x 0.2

Step 4: % of marks obtained in UG (Hons) x 0.3

Step 5: % of marks obtained in PG x 0.3

Aliah University Merit List 2022: E-Counselling

After the release of merit list, shortlisted candidates have to register in the University Counselling portal and pay the registration fee via Net Banking.

On verification of the payment, the portal will accept the registration and send a confirmation over email.

Candidates are to choose their preferred colleges and the counselling department will help them in getting admission as per their merit.

Availability of seats in the affiliated college plays a major role in the counselling process. Candidates need to visit their allotted college and complete the admission process.

Candidates need to visit the allotted institute in person to submit the following documents in original and one attested photocopy of each

1. AUAT 2022 Admit card
2. AUAT 2022 Rank Card
3. Birth certificate or Class 10th Marksheet in proof of age
4. Marksheet of Qualifying Examination
5. Domicile Certificate
6. Category Certificate (if applicable)

Candidates are advised to follow the below steps to check the result:

Step 3: Search for the AUAT Result 2022 and click on it

Step 4:The link will open in the new browser

Step 5: Select your course and category

Step 6: Click on the view and result will display on the screen

Step 7: Download the document and save it for further use.

Aliah University Merit List 2022: Reservation of Seats

Aliah University reserves a certain number of seats, under candidates belonging to different categories.

• Under the norms of the Government of India, a candidate belonging to Physically challenged category will be provided 3% of the reservation quota. Such candidates will be required to mention their category clearly at the time of applying and show corresponding proof regarding their disability. Candidates having at least 40% permanent physical impairment in relation to a body part/system/extremity/extremities/ whole body, etc. will be given this reservation.
• 10 supernumerary seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir (in B.Tech courses 2 seats per branch).
• Separate admission process will be started for foreign category candidates. Such candidates are requested to keep themselves updated with any information related to the University.
