Versha: “ General (No reservation) “

Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Versha: “ WAT was organized in the month of February, for a period of 30 minutes among close to 35-40 students. It was offline mode on an A4 size sheet of paper. The tips would be think for about 5-10 minutes as to what you will write and then start. “

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Versha: “ The topic was on the Net neutrality “

What were your answers/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Versha: “ Net neutrality was the issue that was surfacing around during that time, so I mentioned some of the government policies regarding the same. Talked about the importance of net neutrality and the impact it would create on India's population. “

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Versha: “ The number of members in the panel were three, all of them being faculty. The interview duration was approximately 20 minutes which one minute of extempore round in the middle of the interview. It was offline mode and not a stress interview. “

Versha: "1. Tell me about yourself, spoke about the well prepared answer of education, family, current work I was involved in.

Since I was from an economics background, questions about ISLM curves were asked to draw and explain how they would move in different scenarios.
Types of inflation and their impact on employment was asked to be explained via graph- drew philips curve and explained it.
Difference between fiscal and monetary policy was asked- one set by the government and other by RBI.
The extempore topic was related to the banking industry and the issues it is facing."

Versha: “ I chose this college because of the IIM Tag of an old IIMs. The college has been ranked among top 5 MBA colleges by various surveys and in top 10 by almost all surveys. The college has a huge alumni base which puts ahead various opportunities for the future. “

What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Versha: “ I had not scored good enough in the CAT examination to get calls from other old IIMs. Others were all small ones. “
