Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Nishtha :

“ WAT was 30 minutes round pen and paper mode. Blank A4 sheet was provided to write about the topic to all the students present at that center during that slot. The tips would be to not be generic in your answer and try to incorporate some well established facts and relate to the current topics if required.”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Nishtha :

“ The topic was on privatization of sectors by the government. “

What were your answers/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Nishtha :

“ I tried to mention the recent activities taken by the government in privatization with some examples of failures and successes in the same. I also mentioned some of the privatization activities in other countries and how they have been successful and India can learn from them. “

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Nishtha :

“ The personal interview was conducted in Delhi by a panel of 3 members who all were the faculty members of the college. The interview requires one to be confident and instead of saying some wrong answers say that you do not know about it as this shows courage and honesty.”

Mention at least 5 interview questions that were asked to you and your responses to each of them.

Nishtha :

“ The first question was of the extempore conducted where 1-15 seconds were given and I had to speak about it for a period of 1 minute. Then the second question was why MBA and tell me about yourself. I introduced myself, mentioned my educational background, a little about family business and occupation and then about how MBA is the correct choice for me after B.Tech. The third question was on the subjects that I studied in my engineering, I spoke about the same and I remembered it perfectly well since I had just studied (it was something related to ERP). The fourth question was on some questions to be solved in mathematics, and real life applications of differentiation or integration. A fifth question was on how do I think the machines will impact the jobs in various sectors. “

Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted (OR if you did not join this college after converting it, mention 3 reasons for not joining it).

Nishtha :

“ I chose this college as it was the only old IIM shortlist that I have. It had a vast campus with multiple activities to learn apart from academics in the cleanest city of India, Indore. IIMI is famous for its faculty and hence to learn from the best. “

What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Nishtha :

“ I did not have shortlists for other big IIMs “
