Intellectual design sense is driving the architecture industry for years. Architecture is like a blended learning that evolves with ever-changing demands of the industry. Smart cities, sustainability, and delivering public services effectively are some challenges that architecture and design can address. Radical transformation, digital transformation, and internationalization have transformed the structure of design education in India. Highly motivated and self-directed aspirants can choose Architecture and Design as a career option.

Architecture is defined by the two words- relevance and innovation. Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS, Formerly MRIU) has been recognized as a Center of Excellence for teaching, research, design, and construction of built spaces that are both transformational and international in approach.  Students are exposed to the industry along with essential training and internships to develop visual acumen by experiencing buildings. The institute offers five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) program and three-year B.Sc.- Interior Design program.

Providing an essence of life, Architecture is the field of education that combines change, technology, and creativity. At Manav Rachna, the approved center for the conduct of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), students of architecture are exposed to various fields of engineering including mechanical, civil and others to create structures that are not just innovative but lively as well. Approved by Council of Architecture, B. Arch program imparts relevant skills to the students to become competent architects. The program includes six-month of practical training in a professional’s office after completion of the first stage of the course. During the last semester of the course duration, students undertake individual capstone projects.

B.Sc.- Interior Design program at Manav Rachna is offered in association with Algonquin College, Ottawa, Canada with an opportunity for the students to get themselves enrolled in Algonquin College in 2nd or 3rd year for which the credits earned at MRIIRS shall be transferred. The course helps students develop imaginative and reliable solutions to problems raised by social needs and economic constraints. At Manav Rachna, interior design classes have been integrated with the fine art classes in order to elevate the students’ ability to develop innovative solutions.

Centered on ‘studio environment’, Architecture and Design programs offered at Manav Rachna enable students to resolve life-like design problems on their own. During the program years, students evolve as designers by understanding attitudes, lifestyles and cultural preferences and take all three into account while designing.
