What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Continuing the legacy”

I think I take it from my grandfather and father who were connected to the education sector all their life. I view education as a way of social development. I like to communicate with the students and motivate them. I have committed myself to the students and their success by being the right mentor. So all these factors kept me connected with the education sector.

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“An inclusive style where everyone has the common goal”

The first step to being a good leader is having good communication skills. I make sure to improve my communication skills with time so that there is no space for misunderstanding. To get the work done, I communicate with all the members in my team and try to encourage them to establish a relationship of trust with each other. I am a believer of teamwork.

Any insights into how your institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“Being a welcoming institute with an inclusive environment”

We encourage the students coming from all the backgrounds. Everyone in our institute is considered as a student only. The fees are waived off from 50% to 80% depending on their merit and financial status. Coming to accommodation, we do not charge for the hostel room.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the institute and the students are?

“Being a good listener to my students”

I treat my students like my family members. There is a monthly meeting with the management and teaching staff where the feedback from the students related to syllabus, education efforts and teachers is taken. My role is to address their grievances and make sure that it is solved in the most effective way.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Establishing a name for ourselves”

Nowadays our institute is getting attention from different states like Assam, Jharkhand etc. The institute’s top priority is to get the due recognition. We have plans to deliver the best education with the best facilities for the students.

In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?

“Having a similar approach will give them a better learning experience”

The approach to higher education in India and abroad is fundamentally different. The differentiating characteristics include education system, approach, research in education, curriculum etc. Here, we have tried to inculcate the best practices of the international institutions thus making a similar environment for the inbound students.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Do not just chase wealth. Have the appetite to learn more and more”

Nowadays students have a job-oriented approach towards education. My advice would be that they should study for the acquisition of knowledge, information, and skills instead. They should understand what they study.
