What are key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
“Teaching gives you the opportunity to learn throughout your life and be productive”
In my opinion, the best thing about teaching is that it gives you the opportunity to learn throughout your life. It provides flexibility and allows you to manage your own time for learning. This sector motivates you to make your own plans for your professional growth and moreover, the satisfaction of transferring knowledge is also achieved.
What is your philosophy of leadership?
“Lead by example and include everyone in the decision-making process”
I believe in collective leadership. Taking the lead is essential, but making decisions and sharing responsibilities together make for a successful team. All members of the staff are encouraged to contribute ideas, and to come up with innovative solutions to the issues our college faces. I allow them to implement their own strategies and to manage their assigned duties.
How would you plan for the marketing and administration of your college?
“Digital platforms and a strong marketing plan for students benefit”
My goal is to remain in touch with my students. A lot has been gained in this direction because of the availability of social media platforms. We are making it incredibly convenient to stay connected with our ultimate stakeholders, students, through WhatsApp groups, Google Meet, and other online tools. The main marketing force behind our company is our alumni. We can tell by their performance that they receive a quality education from our college. In addition, the college uses social media to reach out to its future students.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practices of the industry?
“Curriculum gives importance to the overall development of students”
- Being a B.Ed college, we target to harness the best teaching skills in our students.
- The curriculum has provisions for providing real-life teaching experiences by performing teaching practices in various schools under observation.
- Microteaching sessions, simulated teaching, school internship programs, action research projects, critical analysis of textbooks and syllabus and other pedagogical practices.
How do you tend to establish a relationship with students?
“I endeavour to resolve students issues with the help of college administration and staff”
Teachers must always remind students that we are their mentors. In addition to tutoring them, we are here to shape them into good and happy individuals also. A deeper relationship with students automatically results, once this kind of understanding develops. It is important that we listen to, and appreciate their concerns. Involving other means of communication is always encouraged by me and faculty members. During the pandemic, there were also frequent online meetings with students to know about their well-being and to keep them motivated.
What do you think should be the institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“Delivering best-in-class digitally-enabled education”
The education sector faces many new challenges in the coming years, and that will be our priority for the next few years. Education does not follow a traditional approach anymore. These days, video lectures are readily available online, on YouTube, and on other digital platforms. Education institutes need to adopt more innovative and activity-based learning approaches. In order to develop new study modules, we need comprehensive planning that is focused on activity. Instead of a teacher-centric approach, we should emphasize student-based learning.

A unique feature of the college is its geographical location, along with its experienced and cooperative staff members.
