Dr. Renu Sohta is the Principal at Lord Krishna College of Education, Ambala. She has obtained her B.A. degree from M.L.N. College, Yamuna Nagar, M.A. in English from Kurukshetra. She has been awarded her Ph.D degree in Special Education. She has 15 years of teaching experience and taught various subjects like Educational Psychology, Psycholinguistics, Education of Exceptional Children, Computer Assisted Language Learning, Reading and Reflecting on Text etc. She has written many research papers in various national and international journals, chaired technical sessions and also organized various national and international seminars and conferences.

Being a Principal, what is your philosophy of leadership? 

"Hardwork and Academic Efforts"

Leadership style is defined by the students, parents, teachers and society, not the organisation or the HOD/Principal/Director. These are some of the key points that I usually follow:

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your college?

"Meeting student's and parent’s expectations who always believe in quality and also be a sound communicator for the society"

An approach is always made up of a set of mutually reinforcing principles, tools and techniques (Everyone from highest and lowest at the workplace is included) for enduring effectiveness with respect to the marketing and administration of your college.


In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying in your institute?

"The spirit to try something new and better"

In our institute, an inbound student learns to question the stereotype in all research pursuits and can easily become self-reliant in thinking.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

This requires on the part of the institution to have in one hand sound long-term planning with sustainability factors kept in mind made on the basis of a definite self-belief i.e the inside out approach means performing well ethically in a consistent manner for the years to come. 


When you first came to this college/ University, what was your vision for the Institute? 

"I believe in putting my best efforts for the institute"

Enhancing my own knowledge and excelling in the field along with the upgrade of the institution was my vision. With time, I am getting a chance to learn new things, adding new knowledge to my experiences and polishing my work for institutional betterment.
