It is important to explain the motive of education, values of education, and sharing experiences

I have been continuing my career in the education field since the year 2002 after completion of my Post Graduation. My area of interest in the education field has increased after joining VITAM by taking classes and interacting with students. It is because in the classroom the important criteria would be the acceptance of teaching by the students and taking feedback from them for better teaching. 

The education sector is entering a digital era where reading and write are not just enough because the quality of learning can illustrate different evolutionary ideas. So, for me, it’s important to explain the motive of education, values of education, and sharing experiences which helps students to interact with the outer world and makes a bonding with the education to learn and explore new options. These factors have motivated me to connect with the education sector and pursue my career in this field.


The philosophy of leadership reflects in the teamwork of an organization

Successful teamwork builds significant values and principles for an organization. Each subordinate should be committed to their goals for an organization. Being a Principal of an organization, I never distinguished my subordinates and my position in terms of working ability. We are always working together to maintain the decorum of our institution. As a leader my priority is to finish my responsibilities and keep supporting my team.


We focus on the development of the students by giving them relevant exposure

VITAM depends on the value and quality of holistic educational experiences. Administrative decisions should be taken to improve the future of our students. In our organization, as a Principal, I make sure to follow some guidelines, wherein I interact with the HODs and discuss student activities to help them attain considerable industry knowledge. I meet with the faculties and discuss students’ behavior, making sure their problems are assessed and taken care of. Also, on a monthly or quarterly basis, we arrange parents for taking suggestions and discussions about students’ performance.

Being the Principal of VITAM I take marketing strategies to build our brand value and many students can get effective & perfect education to make a better future.

The Indian educational system is based on to get a good job without exploring other innovative ideas

Indian and Foreign education culture is completely different. It is because Indian education culture is heritage-based and foreign education is practical oriented. For example- the education culture in India based only to get a good job without exploring other innovations or ideas. But in foreign countries parents give them the option to explore other opportunities and innovations. They do not restrict them, so the students of foreign countries gain experience in the practical field. 

In India some of the parents are not bounding their children in their study or other practical field but the students after exploring and gaining practical experiences settle abroad. In foreign learning, students are not bound only in classroom lectures as well as assignments that play a vital role in their practical learning. In India, many bright students are there but Indian companies are paying that much of money as per their willingness, so students are joining foreign companies. 

Students can explore practical things after passing out the school period and entering in graduation period. In our institution in engineering students are learning about human behavior means maintaining relationships between personal and professional life. Students must understand to maintain good bonding with parents and at the same time maintain good terms with colleagues. After joining we learned students about engineering education, curriculum activities, and values of engineering education. 


Our scholarship are based on merit-system where students can easily avail scholarships

In the Orissa region, SC/ ST students get government scholarships in around 60,000 to 70,000 and for OBC candidates the government has some relaxation of age in government exams which is not enough for them. In India for the general students though he/she suffers financially they get some amount of scholarships as per their merit. 

In our institution, if a student gets over 8 or 9 CGPA we will provide scholarships accordingly. At the time of admission according to their rank, we provide scholarships for general candidates. We are allowing some students who lost their parents to complete their engineering degree without money and enrolling them as per their merit.


We make sure to cater to the needs of the students and they are equipped with modern facilities

Understanding the students’ needs through interaction with them is important. Sometimes, students give feedback about the faculty which is not positive and thus it is important to hear them out. I try to place their queries on the top which can help us to bring improvements in our curriculum. We make sure that they are equipped with modern technology and facilities.

The youth should know the value of money, value of time. The behavioral activities should be in a positive manner with parents and society which helps to connect with each other.
