Did you avail of any benefit of reservation?

Asutosh: General (No Reservation).

Describe the general setting of WAT/ GD (if any)?

Asutosh: WAT was conducted in an online portal where students had to write one essay out of 6 topics. The time limit was 30 minutes. There was a variety of topics that were asked ranging from science, history, economics, and environment.

Tip: In order to do well in WAT, students have to keep practicing writing under time constraints and be knowledgeable in a wide range of topics.

GD or Group Discussion was also conducted online in the ZOOM platform where there was a topic given by 2-panel members and the given topic has to be discussed or debated upon. In my group, there was a total of 10 participants. Each participant was given 3 minutes to speak and then we had 20 minutes to debate on the topic. There was no aggressiveness shown by the participants however at the time it did turn into chaos which was handled gracefully by the panel members. The topics given were related to geopolitics and the environment.

Tip: To excel in this round one has to practice speaking articulately under time constraints and have knowledge in various types of topics.

Describe the general setting of your interview?

Asutosh: It was an online interview on ZOOM. There were 4-panel members all of which were from the SIDTM faculty. The interview lasted around 15 minutes. The questions that were asked to me were mostly from my academic background, they also asked me to draw some economics-related diagrams and show those to them, this came as a surprise as I was not prepared for it, but managed somehow by drawing whatever I can.

Tip: Candidates must prepare everything in their academics and study some related business and economics concepts to be ready for any surprise question.
