SNAP 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts a national level test for taking admission into Post Graduate Management (MBA) Programme at Symbiosis Institutes running under SIU.  This test is called Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). 

The desire candidates who want to appear in the entrance test must register for SNAP 2015 before the last Date as mentioned in the SNAP 2015 Important Dates. But all the candidates must see and fulfill the eligibility criteria for SNAP as given in this article before registration.

SNAP 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility to appear in the SNAP 2015 Test. Any candidate cannot register for SNAP 2015 Exam if he/she doesn’t meet the given eligibility.

  • Candidate must have passed a graduate degree from a recognized/statutory University or institute
  • In graduation he/she must obtained at least 50% marks (for general candidates) and 45% marks for reserved category candidates (SC/ST candidates)
  • If any candidates passed the graduation from any foreign university he/she must obtained an equivalent certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Candidate must verify their foreign degree from Association of Indian Universities (AIU) before the admission into any programme of the SIU
  • If a candidate comes under the reserved category and such candidate want to avail the facility given for them must to produce a valid certificate in support of their category

Reservation of Seats:

According to the SNAP 2015 Eligibility, the below table shows the distribution of the seats for reserved category candidates.

Differently Abled Category (DAC) At SIU

There are 3% seats are reserved for Differently Abled Category (DAC) students in all the institutes of Symbiosis International University (SIU).

Types of Disabilities:

  • Locomotors Disabilities
  • Vision Impairment
  • Hearing Impairment
  • Mental Retardation
  • Dyslexia
  • Multiple Disabilities

If any candidate belong to DAC and claim for admission then such candidate will be required to produce an 'Authentication Certificate' from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) within one month of commencement of the programme.

SCHC will check the validity each and every certificate/documents submitted by the student and verify the continued existence and extent of the disability.

Important Points for International Students:

1. Foreign National (FN)

Foreign National candidates are eligible to apply for SNAP Test if they have foreign passport.

2. Person of Indian Origin (PIO)

Candidate can apply as PIO if

  • Must have a PIO card
  • He/she has a citizen of country other than India

3. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

  • Must have a OCI card
  • He/she has a citizen of country other than India

4. Non Resident Indian (NRI)

  • Candidates can apply as NRI if they have appeared 10+2 or graduation outside of India
  • It is mandatory that one of the two qualifying examination must be given outside of the India
