Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?
Saumya Saurabh: “The WAT/GD process happened offline. First was the wat process which had two topics - one technical, the other abstract. Gd followed WAT. There were 8 members in a group. Everyone got the chance to speak. Topics were mostly based on Current Affairs and were situational.”
What was the WAT / GD Topic?
Saumya Saurabh: “The topic for WAT was Manufacturing Industry: A backbone for the economy? And the abstract topic was Sucess or Happiness: what to seek. In GD, a situation was given which wanted our views whether cooperation between the government and the poor people is necessary for the alleviation of poverty.”
What were your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?
Saumya Saurabh: “For the abstract topic in WAT, I tried to interlink both success and happiness as having a causal relationship. For the technical topic, general awareness along with knowledge of facts and figures helped me work up the content. In GD, I tried to take the lead and led the discussion as per my views.”
