Prof. Dr. Madhavi Lokhande is the Dean of Prin L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Bangalore. She has completed B.Com, M.Com, FCMA and also holds a Ph.D. degree. She has 16 years of teaching experience and also has 5 years of corporate experience in areas of Finance, Accounting, Cost Management System, Audit and Compliance. What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Leadership is a behaviour and it must reflect in your demeanour”

My leadership style is facilitative. We get several opportunities in our personal and professional life to exhibit our leadership traits. We can live the life of a leader without being particular about the designations and titles. In a true sense, I have experienced this and therefore believe in this phenomenon.

I implore the current youth to be hardworking in any endeavour they begin. Don't be scared to work hard and get your hands dirty. The youth must educate themselves on relevant topics and practise towards becoming an expert.
