“ General (No reservation) “
Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?
Piyush Grover :
"There was no GD at FORE. The process involved a Business awareness quiz, Extempore, WAT and PI.
The process took place in an offline mode and around 10-15 minutes were given for the WAT. Around 5 minutes were given to think and 10 minutes to write. At FORE, the topics given were very general and more about writing an opinion. There is nothing right or wrong, one has to give an opinion and then justify it with logic. Being aware of the current happenings is an important factor, so it is better to pick one newspaper and follow it. This will help both in GD and WAT. In fact, the PI also involved questions on current affairs, so it is important to be aware of the current happenings and also build an opinion about everything. There are a number of YouTube channels as well which can be useful in preparation.”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?
Piyush Grover :
"The WAT topic was ""Is Social Media a Boon or Bane for the society""?"
What were your answers/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?
Piyush Grover :
“In the WAT, I wrote both the negative and positive points of Social Media but it was more positive. The positive points were backed using examples and the recent happenings like the Me too movement and many more. After putting both the negative and positive points, I concluded with taking a position that Social Media is a Boon for the society.”
Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.
Piyush Grover :
"The personal interview also took place in an offline mode and there was only 1 panel with 3 members. The panel had two professors, one of HR and one of Business Analytics and the third member was from the industry. The interview duration was around 15 minutes. After entering the interview room, it started with an extempore where we had to pick a chit which had a topic written to speak on for a minute. To think about the topic we were given 30 seconds and a notepad to write the points. The questions were more on academics, budget and Economic policies and not even a single question on work experience. Being an economics graduate, it revolved around Economic policies and basic concepts. It was kind of a stress interview, as they kept questioning whatever I had done.
One needs to be clear with everything which is on the resume and should be able justify everything he/she speaks. Being calm and confident is the key. "
