I choose Finance and IB courses because I always have interest in Finance. The faculty here at fore is very good. Most of them have done their master's and Ph.D. from IITs or IIMs which makes the institute a more premier one. Almost every month we have an exam. And as the teachers are good so students' performance can be reflected through the result.

Campus Life:

As the campus is not that big so most events are not on large scale. But the students are well aware of how to make optimum use of the available space. We have Section Wars (Cricket, TT, Tug of War, Arm Wrestling, etc.) and Talent Hunts (Singing, Dancing, Stand Up, etc.). We also have 2 days of Annual Fest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because FORE is best in IB as a course providing colleges, it is one of the best institutions in the country with highly knowledgeable faculty. I have keen interest in International Business since my bachelor's and I have previously decided to pursue my masters in it. IB as a course gives you a global view and the scope is immense. There has been a total of 30 permanent faculty on the campus along with many visiting faculties. The Faculty-Student ratio would be 30/400. All the faculties are experts in their respective fields, unmatched by any other college faculties. More than eighty percent of faculties have Ph.D. and Doctorate level degrees. The teaching method and pedagogy puts us in a great corporate structure where we learn how to deal with many issues under high pressure and long hours of working. We develop ourselves into the leaders of tomorrow that have a vision for the future. We learn how to work for more than eight hours daily with nine hours of lectures.

Campus Life:

Genesis is the annual fest of FORE, it is conducted in the month of November. Books and journals are present throughout the year and there are ample study resources present on campus. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and well-lit, have proper mic and speaker facilities and have RO availability near every classroom. Sports include Cricket, Pool, Table Tennis, Badminton, and a lot more. There are many committees that are run by students, nearly 25 committees as of now are functional on the campus.

Campus life is good, we have a lot of seminars, functions, and competitions. We have an annual fest called GENESIS (held in November). We have 20+ clubs and committees and every one is unique and has different functions. One good thing about FORE school of management is it is a very much student-driven college where events are organized by students which helps a lot to understand working and managing people.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose an International business because it is the way forward, where the boundaries between nations are reduced. Here, our course provides dual specialization where we can do specialization in two fields. The faculty-student ratio is good, with an estimate of 1:10. Teaching methods differ from teacher to teacher. But one thing common is their case-based approach.

The annual fest of FORE is conducted in November and is termed "Genesis". The fest includes various events and competitions hosted by groups and clubs catering to various domains like Analytics, HR, Finance, International Business, etc. The college has a wide range of books and journals available in the library and we can issue the same from there on our College ID cards. The classrooms are smart with smart boards being provided in each one of them. Sports and extracurricular activities are hosted throughout the year by the sports club at FORE like the section wars. The students run various clubs and societies at FORE and are a bridge between the corporate world and students by bringing various industry experts throughout the year to share their experiences and give insights.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen International Business to gain exposure in the business world with a worldwide perspective. The faculty-student ratio here is about 1:50 . Most of the teachers here are either alumni from various top management schools across the country or have had a vast experience in the industry. The teaching method here is in line with the current dynamics across the education sector and exams and academics are a top priority at FORE with frequent exams across the year and with mid-term and end-term exams with a good test of our conceptual knowledge along with application-based questions.

I chose to do PGDM ib because I have a keen interest in international affairs moreover it gives you the opportunity to grow your career and get placed abroad the faculties are great they provide deep knowledge about the subjects and keep you busy with assignments and strict deadlines where you learn how to work under pressure a student has to complete 60 credits in the first year out of which 54 credits are from core courses and 6 from electives exams are held twice every trimester there is no gap between the exams mostly two exams are held in one day but the difficulty and marking are relatively easy.

Campus Life:

The campus is relatively small there is not much to do on campus mostly we sit outside at dhabas and tea stalls outside our college and chit-chat with our friends there are two tt and a pool table in the name for sports but the classrooms are well built and there are a lot of special interest groups and societies which you can be a part of and enjoy your college life.

Summer PLacements are not good. For final placement, good companies visit campus. Mostly there are marketing companies. Also, the strength for the whole batch is around 350-380. The average package offered is around 12-13, with a minimum cap of 8 lakh/annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure I feel is quite high and there are few scholarship opportunities based on past/caste and the result of term 1 too. Their is 100% placement of students. Also in the fee structure International Programme of 1 week is also included.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 4th Semester. Many good companies visit our college like Asian Paints, Nestle, ICICI, Britannia, Garter, GBE, E&Y, KPMG, etc. In the case of FMCG Companies, most of the profiles are of Area Sales Managers where the company takes one or two students in most of cases at an average salary of 12 lakhs. There is a limited number of good companies and they only make one or two offers which make the placement process very tedious and a bit stressful sometimes. However, you do have a good chance in companies like KPMG, E&Y, and other good companies which provide multiple jobs offers if you perform well in the interview. The highest package of this college goes around 22 Lakh (domestic) and 50 lakhs (international) The average package is 12 Lakh. I would say 90% of the students get placements. I plan to continue working in the job that I will bag from this college.

Campus Life:

Genesis is the annual fest of FORE School of Management which is conducted in November. It receives participation from different institutions like IIFT and some IIMs. The library of this college is up to the mark. You will get many magazines, newspapers, books, and journals. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with projectors, displays, laptops, etc. And they are always functional. There isn't any playground in the college and it has negligible sports facilities. Still, students can play Table tennis and other indoor games, facilities for which are provided in the basement. The college has around 13 clubs. It involves placement cells, Entrepreneurship cells, personality development cells, etc. These clubs are entirely run by students.

One of the skills which are important for each individual is the art of selling and in Marketing, we also learn this. FORE has a high standard of academic recruitment. 90% of its faculty have a doctoral degree and 60% of the faculty has industry experience of more than 10 years. The instructional methodology comprises an optimum mix of lectures, classroom discussions, case studies, simulations, role-plays, group discussions, and special sessions from professionals from industry, and industrial visits. In each class/session, there are 50-60 students. Mid-term/End-term exams are held in a cycle of every 45 days. Exams are quite easy to pass as almost all questions are from teachings.

Ques. Which stream should my sister opt for in BIMTECH Noida for MBA international business or insurance?

● Top Answer By Ishika Malhotra on 10 Nov 22

Ans. She must first evaluate both courses based on her areas of interest. Both courses have advantages and disadvantages. The IBM (insurance) course has a lower fee structure than International Business. The job profiles available for the IBM course are insurance company oriented. In contrast, the job profiles for the IB course range from sales to marketing to finance and HR depending on your specialization. BIMTECH is well-known for its IBM training. The package on offer is also very good. This year's average would be around 6.5, with more than 90% of students placed. It is entirely dependent on your sister's area of interest. She can also look at the institute's website to see what kinds of faculties and subjects are available and then make an informed decision.Read more

Ques. What is the career after a PGDM from Goa Institute of Management?

● Top Answer By Harita Sama on 03 Mar 23

Ans. The career prospects once you complete your PGDM from Goa Institute of Management depend largely on your specialization and the plethora of opportunities available. The overall placement has been decent but specialization-wise, there are continuous changes. GIM is generally considered to be an average B School that does not even make it to the top 20. But its alumni have proven otherwise by achieving more than a top B School graduate. But this wasn’t a cakewalk and required a lot of determination and passion. The career prospects are subjective and can be determined solely on your performance, specialization, and your determination. It’s not the same for all as GIM is not a top B School. You will have to pave your own way to success.Read more

Ques. Which is better, a PGDM from LBSIM or a PGDM IB from FORE?

● Top Answer By Pradeep Saini on 05 Jul 21

Ans. Among the above two institutes, PGDM in International Business at FORE is definitely a better option, considering the placement statistics of recent years. The points below give a brief overview of the key highlights of the FORE School of Management, along with its major advantages over LBSIM. FORE School of Management offered an average package of 10.7 LPA in PGDM IB. On the other hand, the average package in PGDM at LBSIM is 8.5 LPA, which is quite lesser than that of FORE. The International Business stream in PGDM at FORE has an outstanding syllabus, in which they teach quite a number of subjects different from the conventional core subjects. The placement process of both FORE and LBSIM is almost the same. Most companies allow only those students in their placement drives that have at least one of the specializations mentioned in their required profile. For example, a marketing company will allow only those students who have marketing as one of their specializations. For students of the 2018-20 batch in FORE, the first specialization will be International Business. You have the liberty to choose any one of marketing, finance, strategy, IT, etc as your other specializations. Therefore, the FORE School of Business offers an excellent PGDM International Business program, which has decent placement and ample opportunities for students.Read more
