Did you avail the benefit of any reservation?

Paras Mehta:

“ General (No reservation)”

Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Paras Mehta:

"The admission process offline and happened in late February and it consisted of 3 different stages, the first stage was Business Quiz.

The second stage was WAT and finally, PI and Extempore. The process alone gave an outlay as to what the college sees in a candidate, which is clearly more than just the percentile gained by the student, but the overall aptitude and awareness about the business. The process was quite smooth, at any point of time, 5 students were being interviewed and about 15 mins per interview was taken. The panelists were 3 in every room. Everything went really great and I was done with the whole process in a little over an hour."

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Paras Mehta:

"The WAT topic was

""Nationalism vs Globalisation"" “

What were your answers/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Paras Mehta:

"I mentioned the pros and cons of both the topics and finally inclined towards Globalisation for future prospects. Businesses could deal with globalisation while on a more personal level, nationalism is expected was the concluding line. “

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Paras Mehta:

“ There were in total 5 panels at any point of time and each panel included 3 members each. The 3 members were all from different domains, some of them being faculties and others were leaders from the industry. The 3rd member in the panel always used to observe the body language of the candidate and was very thorough in his/her approach. For future references to aspirants, I'd say be thorough with your resume and say the things you're confident about and build the conversation as per the things. “

Mention at least 5 interview questions that were asked to you and your responses to each of them.

Paras Mehta:

I'm currently residing in Gurgaon and have been living here for the past 12 years.

  1. What is your family background?

I hail from a small town in Haryana. My family moved to Gurgaon when i was 7 and my father started his business with the help of my uncle. He started his business of second hand buying and selling of cars. My mother is a housewife and I also have a sibling.

  1. Why did you choose this college?

I chose this college because of its location and because I fell in love with Delhi while pursuing my Undergraduate degree. I always had the intention to stay close to my family, which is why this college was first on my preference list.

  1. Why did you score less in your BBA?

I couldn't actively participate in the class and focus on studies because undergraduate to me was much more than just studies, I actively participated in co-curricular activities and organised various events in college. I have always been a sports person and I participated in Cricket tournaments as well.

  1. What did you do after graduation in the past year?

I undertook 2 internships the past year before actually starting studying for CAT. I gained about 3 months of internship experience "

Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted (OR if you did not join this college after converting it, mention 3 reasons for not joining it).

Paras Mehta:

"I previously mentioned that i joined this college because of its location and because i wanted to stay close to my family

The other reasons were the course I was getting was of my interest, i.e, Financial Management and finally the Placement record and the reviews that I read on various portals."

What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Paras Mehta:

“ I got into 3 different colleges but I chose not to go ahead because I weighed in the pros and cons of the colleges vis a vis the fees and the ROI and the location and the expenses. “
