Holistic development of the students through innovation and experimentation
I feel that the education sector is not an industry in the conventional sense of the term. It is a responsibility to build the future of a nation and mankind as a whole.I am observing that lately higher education is becoming more prescriptive, rather than innovative. Too much of template oriented approach in terms of curriculum and syllabi kills innovation.
Of course, in spite of multiple regulatory regimes, Indian education has evolved as value-based, qualitative, and to a large extent futuristic. We, at ASBM, always give importance to the holistic development of the students through innovation and experimentation. We consider these factors of high importance: attitude, knowledge, skill, and competency.
Best form of leadership is influencing without authority
The best form of leadership is influencing without authority. Every member of the team becomes capable of influencing their colleague to deliver the best. I not only believe in it but practice it too.

I always carry my team along
I have a firm conviction that every individual has talent and potential, which can be nurtured for the best use of the organization. I do best as a team player and always carry my team along. We have adopted the team structure in our decision-making process, which has resulted in good governance and productive outcome.
Challenges should be taken as opportunity
Life is full of challenges, and I seek those challenges as an opportunity. The moment you take the challenge in an optimist way, the perspective changes, and you get motivated not only to overcome it but also to chase it.
My team has inculcated this value to a large extent, which makes the members motivated to deliver high performance. Thus, we practice combined leadership, and united thought processes. This, by itself, acts as a great motivating factor for our team members.
Our curriculum ensures the best practice of industry
An effective curriculum should aim at bridging the gap between industry (what industry expects) and academia (what traditional education offers). ASBM was conceived as a business school that would strive to bridge that gap. That is why it has evolved as the first business school in India to introduce sectoral focused industry-linked courses with back to back placement arrangements. To be precise, our curriculum has been designed, first, by understanding and assessing the industry input (what they need) and then, by benchmarking with the best practices worldwide.
Top qualities that a student must possess
Let me tell you, the students of this generation are highly intelligent and are capable of delivering their best. The only deficit in most cases is the right kind of attitude towards self, job, family, and the community at large.
The other pivotal attributes that a student must possess are willingness to learn, inquisitiveness, out-of-the-box thinking, and accepting failure as a necessary part of life and learning out of it.
Lastly, I would like them to have the ability to work in a team. They have to develop the temperament for that.
The teacher should be a true mentor to shape young minds
I firmly believe that the Gurukul approach of India still holds relevance. The teacher should be a true mentor to shape young minds. It has been observed that youth delve into the state of confusion leading to disappointment over trivial issues. The major reason is that most of them have been brought up in a cocoon of an overprotective environment. Thus, with a slight failure, they become disturbed.
Thus, the culture in the academic institution should be more of mutual trust, transparency, team learning, innovation and experimentation, and learning with fun; to be precise, a culture of great learning with happiness.
Building a healthy relationship with the students
Time has evolved, and the students have to be considered as partners in the academic process. We, as teachers, need to accept reality and practice learning with mutual respect and care.

Placement opportunities available at your University
ASBM has an excellent placement track record. We always give importance to the finishing school concept, in addition to highly qualitative academic learning. Our students are not only academically strong but also have been groomed and trained to enhance their competencies and entrepreneurial leadership to be employable or to be the creator of an enterprise.
Placement never becomes a problem for competent people. Instead of giving too much heed to placements, students should focus on learning, competency development, and developing the right attitude. Placement will then follow automatically.
Focus is to design and deliver future leaders
ASBM University has been created from a legacy of fourteen years of quality journey of the Asian School of Business Management. Our goal is ultimately to make this University a substantial University.
Our focus is to design and deliver new-age education that will help the students to be futuristic leaders, who will not only be career achievers but also social impactors.
Every moment of life should be taken in a positive spirit
Firstly, they should understand and realize that they are now in a beautiful time with the flow of knowledge and information, tremendous opportunities, and above all, boundless territories to conquer. They should understand themselves and carve out their own philosophy of life, and work towards it..
Ultimately, I think Edward DeBono’s principle of process happiness is more important than destination happiness. Every moment of life should be taken in a positive spirit and energy and should be derived to take up future challenges.
