Mr T. Murali Mohan is the Principal at Swarnandhra Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He has vast experience in teaching, industrial and research domain. He has published numerous technical papers in National and International Journals. A Ph.D. scholar, he is an author of the ‘Statistics with R Programming (A Beginner's Guide)’ book.

How do you plan the marketing and administration of your school?

“A strong alumni network helps us form new positive relations with aspiring students”

My main marketing channels are Word of mouth and our alumni. The empathetic way I interact with my incumbent students and alumni helps us maintain a strong network of loyal individuals. This helped us a lot in building the brand of SIET.

SIET (NAAC accredited) inherits its curriculum from JNTU-K’s curriculum. It is well known to be in alignment with industry requirements. We are proud to state that SIET is equipped with state of art labs, a seminar hall, a vast play around and an adept gym to ensure the all-round development of our students.


What do you think your responsibilities to the institute and the students are?

“Focus towards academic performance, students projects, and planning for future activities of the students”

I fulfil the responsibilities as a representative of the institute by being friendly with students and welcoming feedback. I also, frequently, am in touch with student’s parents regarding the career development of their children. Also, interact with students to keep them informed about the current affairs and skills demands.

What do you think should be the institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“To establish a self-dependent generation of policymakers and entrepreneurs”

Our priority is to ensure that the right environment is created to foster students to become entrepreneurs and contribute to the making of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Another focus is to develop the rural areas and make the institute a hub of modern technology and management.


What do you see as SIET’s greatest strengths?

The most important pillar of an educational institute is Faculty, both teaching and non-teaching. Our efforts have been to train and motivate our faculties to an extent that they have today become our greatest strength. Other strengths include:

  • To arrange short term courses for the benefit of students and faculty of all disciplines.
