Mr. N Sri Harish is a Sr. Assistant Professor in the Sri Vasavi Engineering College, Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh. He did B.E from Anna University and M.tech in the JNTU, Kakinada. He also worked as Assistant professor in Sasi Institute of Technology & Engineering. Mr. Sri Harish joined Sri Vasavi Engineering College in the year 2006 as Assistant professor and now promoted as Sr. Assistant Professor. He published various papers in National and International Journals.

Being a Faculty of the EEE Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“To take various topics of electrical engineering sessions for students and maintain discipline on campus”

We carry a load of two courses per semester in various topics. Most topics are covering electrical and electronics engineering. Pupils get at least one introductory engineering course from the campus. 

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with students and fellow faculty in Sri Vasavi Engineering College?

“Organize team building games, outdoor activities and more for all”

We always talk to students in class and outside of class. Moreover, we talk to faculty in class and give necessary training. Students get team building games for critical thinking from the campus itself. 

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented? 

“Workshops, guest lectures, engineering and technology applications are available for pupils”

To make the subjects industry oriented, we arrange various workshops for the students from industry experts. Additionally, we request industry persons for guest lectures. We conduct value added courses for the students for learning life lessons along with the academic lessons. Practical knowledge of science, engineering and technology applications are provided to them. 

How do you strategize the curriculum and get updated to make it befitting for the students in Sri Vasavi Engineering College?

“Develop plans, and provide experience in the industrial sector for pupils”

I will describe my vision, focus, and objectives for all. Students need and identify resources for all is my primary duty. We develop experiences that meet with several objectives, collect and devise materials for students. New plans, methods, and processes create experience in my students.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students to face real-world challenges?

“Organize an ELECTRIFY program for the development of green energy technologies”

We conducted a program called ELECTRIFY regarding the EEE department. One of the main objectives of the program is to contribute to the development of green energy technologies for meet future energy demands. It also helps to identify, formulate, design, investigate and operate various electrical systems. Many students from second, third and final year have joined, contributed well and learnt new things through the program.

What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from Sri Vasavi Engineering College?

“Provide several placements and training for students' higher education from the campus itself”

Our college gives placement opportunities to students from a vast number of companies. Most of the companies related to the EEE department and also our students will get placement chances from IT companies. We give them good preparation, training for higher education and make them get ready for placements.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Work hard, learn new skills, and attain a good career”

My major suggestion to students is not marks but skills are important. They should work hard and get more knowledge. Learn new skills and marks will be achieved automatically. You should work hard and smart to get a good career.
