What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Providing Students with well-equipped educational facilities”

Being a HOD of the Department, the followings are my roles and responsibilities towards the students:

  1. To manage my entire department 
  2. To plan & schedule Lectures. 
  3. To organize, coordinate with my colleagues. 
  4. To monitor Lectures periodically for the students. 
  5. To take feedback about the sessions conducted by me & other faculties 
  6. To encourage & engage the students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
  7. To guide the students in their academics and career.
  8. To motivate all the students to attend the classes & seminars regularly 
  9. To Groom students, which will include dressing, behavior, discipline, enhancing their morale, and preparing them for Placement. 
  10. To inspire students to present papers in Conferences / Seminars at the regional/national level. 
  11. To monitor the attendance and academic performance of each student of the department and take necessary steps to improve the student’s progress. 

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and faculty?

“Providing Students with best grievance system and Faculty with the balanced workload”

To maintain healthy relationships with the students, I practice few measures:

  1. Fulfill the academics need (textbooks, materials required for the effective teaching of the subject). 
  2. Ensure that students maintain the decorum of the institute. 
  3. Welcome students to share any grievances and try to solve the same. 
  4. To maintain a healthy relationship with the faculty members, I practice few measures:
  5. By greeting the faculty members regularly 
  6. By maintaining a harmonious relationship and communicating with them regarding the welfare of students and the department.
  7. By dividing the workload equally. 
  8. Motivating fellow faculties in attending FDPs.
  9. Maintain a healthy work environment.

How do you make the subjects industry-oriented?

“Providing students with industrial visits to gain practical experience”

I try to enforce a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry-oriented in the following ways:

  1. By assigning case studies. 
  2. Teaching them basics, providing them the theoretical knowledge along with practical concepts. 
  3. Introducing them to work culture, environment, and ethics. 
  4. Preparing them for interviews and professional life by taking their personality development and grooming classes. 
  5. Taking their mock interviews. 
  6. Motivate them to participate in extracurricular activities. 
  7. Guiding students in Project work and asking them to demonstrate practically. viii. Asking them to present a fresh topic in class. 
  8. By providing off the job training. 
  9. By regularly monitoring the students’ progress.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

“Providing students with the in-demand skills and teaching subjects in the best possible manner”

How do you strategize and update the curriculum?

“Implementing new strategies in the foundation of the curriculum at regular intervals”

Following are a few strategies: 

  1. Monitoring the progress of the department. 
  2. Analyze the current teaching practices and learning goals.
  3. Identifying the problem and try to resolve it internally. 
  4. Reevaluating the current practice.
  5. Taking the corrective measures. 
  6. Developing the new/updated teaching strategies and approach.

How does your department prepare students for Placement? 

“Providing students with 100% Placement Assistance and best technical skills”

We prepare students for placements in the following ways: 

  1. By enhancing students’ technical as well as professional skills. 
  2. Arranging their internship programs. 
  3. Involving them in webinars, seminars. 
  4. By providing student training and instruction, which includes role-play. v. Developing entrepreneurship skills. 
  5. By assigning practical tasks to the students which help them in enhancing multiple skills such as PPT presentation, case studies, role play, communication, teamwork, leadership. 
  6. Involving them in GD, Debates, extempore, so that they can secure a better future. viii. We invite MNCs and local companies for placement drives on our campus. 

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?

What was your vision while joining this institution and how are you trying to achieve the same?

“To establish me in the organization and gain experience”

When I came to Millia Institute of Technology, my vision was to establish myself in the organization based on my expertise and flourishing my skills and work assiduously towards achievements of organizational goals. Gain experience in the teaching field and contributing to the wellbeing of society. Shaping the future of the students. 


How does the department enhance the skills of the faculty?
