What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

It’s my passion of educating students and to make a difference in young people’s life and hopefully to inspire them. In such a fast-paced world there is lot to explore in engineering field along with innovation that is the need of present environment. Having a keen interest towards technical education with being an ardent researcher, and due to passion to stand out from the crowd, I choose to stay connected with the technical education sector. Personally, I feel highly satisfied when I closely interact with young and bright talents in campuses.

Being the Director of an Institute, what is your philosophy of leadership?

I believe in inclusive and collaborative way of working. In my opinion, great leaders trust their team and they prefer to lead from the front.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practices of industry?

As our college is governed by Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University, the main curriculum is designed by the University. But to provide some additional study material we conduct sessions of expert academicians. Our institute continuously takes inputs from industries and academic experts. And we regularly take all necessary steps to bring timely updates to enhance the value-based education to the students. We also have short and long duration internships for students to inculcate best skills in them as per latest industry developments and requirements.

How is your institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

We believe in inclusivity. As we all know that inclusive education is key to socio-economic development of our young generation. We trust that the overall academic and social effects of increased racial diversity on campus are likely to be positive, ranging from higher levels of academic achievement to the improvement of near- and long-term intergroup relations. We also offer 100% scholarship to the meritorious students.

What are your roles and responsibilities for the Institute and students?

I am accountable to ensure complete development of students and Institution as a whole. Being the Director of the institute, the area of my responsibilities is very vast and inclusive in nature, and I am responsible for overall growth and development of the Institute and faculty members. Our students are at the core of the institute, so ensure their academic and professional development is my responsibility.

How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your college?

We use print media, electronic media and social media to educate people about our courses and make them aware about their better future. We have developed our website and along with this we are using the Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn pages to make all the details of our college activities available to the people. In addition to this, we regularly organize multiple activities using these online platforms to ensure the engagement of more and more students.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

We should focus on enhancing our presence on global level. I firmly believe that the development of an institution depends on growth on multiple fronts, and prioritizing a few of them could be challenging, and in the upcoming years, we should focus on enhancing our relationship with our industry partners for collaborative research programs, our presence not only on national but also on a global level and reimage our college brand so that we can fulfill our vision and provide quality education to all.

What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths?

Our highly qualified and experienced faculty members, disciplined students and dedicated staff makes us strong. Because all of them are cohesively working to build BNCET unique, stronger and a preferred destination for potential future students, faculty, and corporations.

What would you like people to know about your institute that makes it unique and different from others?

We offer finest quality education and industrial exposure to students. We are one of the pioneering institutions in the domain of Technical Education and offer the best quality and employment-oriented education, training programs, research facilities and have also maintained an excellent academic infrastructure and learning environment for our students.

What are some biggest challenges you see for higher education in general?

Student welfare across the globe is experiencing what can only be described as an ‘educational emergency’. Research indicates that up to 70% of students are suffering with their mental health. A figure that has risen since the beginning of the pandemic so student wellbeing needs to be a top priority of all education providers for the 2022-2023 academic year. This is especially important given the new digital education experience where students are spending less time on-campus.

Secondly I want to say that the higher education sector is very dynamic and challenging in nature. And the most important issue which education institutions are facing nowadays is the lack of proper funds for establishing good research facilities in college. Also, industry linked collaborative research is scant which requires immediate attention of the stakeholders.

How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?

By working as a team and ensuring good working conditions for them we establish a healthy environment. For the purpose of ensuring a cordial relationship with everyone, I use the collective and collaborative way of working with my faculties and students and also make sure everyone is allowed to put forward their views and suggestions. We have established a healthy working-learning ecosystem where all stakeholders collaborate from time to time to achieve defined objectives.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

As we all can easily observe that currently the global ecosystem is under transformative stages, where technologies are playing an important role. Our students are at the center of this digital transformative era, I see plenty of opportunities for them in technology, business, public life and many other areas. Hence, I would like to advise my dear students to go for entrepreneurship in their areas of interest. Stop worrying about your life, work hard and live the present in the best possible way. Don't panic even when you don't perform well and learn how to handle failures as they will always be there, but you need to decide you want to regret it or learn from them and move on. So live life to the fullest and learn how to face failures with courage and confidence.
