What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Leadership is an evolving process which adapts to the modern changes taking place”

My philosophy of leadership moves around teachers and students only. In the education industry, leadership should adopt the latest teaching pedagogy and analyze the industry's human resources' latest technologies. A good leader in the professional and technical institute is only that person who can motivate faculty and students to adopt value-added things apart from the university's traditional syllabus.

How does the curriculum of dignitary ensure the best practice of industry?

“We have best in-class resources available and we ensure students get maximum industry exposure”

  • Regular industrial visits & guest speakers from the corporate for the overall grooming of the students is the moral responsibility of the higher authorities of the institutions.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in our country?

“Our education system is not competent enough to facilitate the upcoming challenges”

Our education system has not been developed fully. We are not able to list a single university in the top 100 universities in the world. UGC is continuously working and focusing on quality education in the higher education sector. Still, we are facing a lot of problems and challenges in our education system. Some of the basic challenges in higher education system in India are discussed below:

Enrolment: With the increase of enrolments at school level, the supply of higher education institutes is insufficient to meet the growing demand in the country.

Equity: There are regional variations too some states have high GER while some is quite behind the national GER which reflect a significant imbalance within the higher education system.

Quality: Quality in higher education is a multi-dimensional, multilevel, and a dynamic concept. Ensuring quality in higher education is amongst the foremost challenges being faced in India today. However, the Government is continuously focusing on quality education.

Infrastructure: Poor infrastructure is another challenge to the higher education system of India . There are a large number of colleges which are functioning on the second or third floor of the building on ground or first floor there exists readymade hosieries or photocopy shops.

Faculty: Faculty shortages and the inability of the state educational system to attract and retain well-qualified teachers have been posing challenges to quality education for many years. Large numbers of NET / PhD candidates are unemployed even though there are a lot of vacancies in higher education.

Research and Innovation: There is a lack of research exposure at an early stage for the students. It is because of the weak ecosystem for creativity and innovation.

Inadequate facilities such as Internet and WiFi are still a scarce in many colleges.

Laboratories are ill equipped and there is still a major focus on theoretical teaching
