Dr. Amit Shastri is the Founder and Director of Aryabhata Group of Institutions, Ajmer, He holds a Doctorate Degree in Computer Science. He is a versatile person, an education enthusiast with a flair for leadership as a result of which, in a short time, the Aryabhatta Group has attained new dimensions in the field of education in Ajmer District. 

Dr. Amit Shastri is a person with a positive attitude, and has led the Aryabhatta Group towards success with his skillful leadership. Aryabhatta Group chaired by Dr. Shastri has received the prestigious Best Employer Award in 2019. Dr. Shastri's interest is to study new techniques in computer as well as literature, as well as motivate all teachers and students to learn new techniques. You are an example and inspiration in yourself. Intelligence can be inferred from this that despite being the director of an institution, you earned the first Ethical Hacking Certificate in Ajmer which is a record in itself. As an entrepreneur himself, he aims to develop and enhance the innovation section of the Group to help students become self-dependent.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“A strong belief that education is the most powerful energy to achieve long standing goals”

Education is the basis for development, be it of an individual or an entire population. I have been born and brought up in a family where education is valued immensely. My idol is my father who was a Professor of Sanskrit and his ideologies moved me towards the noble profession of Education. 

What is your philosophy of leadership and its implementation?

“A team membership style that builds and nurtures a group of people unitedly”

Leadership, in my understanding, is to bring the best out of your team. I cannot categorize my leadership style under a specific one, because a leader has to adopt different styles for every individual. I believe in teamwork and grooming my team personally and professionally.

How does the curriculum of Aryabhatta Group of Institutions ensure the best practice of industry?

We run courses affiliated to various government universities of Rajasthan like Bikaner Technical University, Bikaner, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, Board of Technical Education, Jodhpur, etc. Hence, we follow the syllabus provided by these universities with a “Plus element”. It gives our students a competitive edge. We have adopted a learning method wherein a student learns the theory concepts by working on live projects. Our vision for the next 10 years is to make Rajasthan an education hub for IT, Medical and Management Professionals and Industrialists. Today our students move out of Rajasthan for an earning but our vision is to reverse this flow. Also, to establish research and innovation centres of repute.

We have a target of boosting at least one start-up each year each department. I am happy to share that our CS/IT department has recently laid the foundation of Octaplus Solutions which is an entrepreneurial venture and so here at Aryabhatta we are focussing on grooming entepreneurial skills of a student and helping the students to establish it.
